Giro Disc
Got my new wheels yesterday and got them on the back and lets just say. OMFG they are HUGEEEE!!!! Yes very aggressive but mate up perfectly to my fender flares. Set them on in the front and they clear there as well. I'll have my front hub converted on Friday and I'll finally be able to roll the car outside to see how it all came togather. Then its off to the body shop for a week where my buddy and I will finished molding in the flares and modifying the bumpers to fit. Going to get a carbon hood and I'll be adding in some JDM fog lights. Turbo will be held off till the other car is done to the point that it can come off the lift and give me some time to save up and collect more parts. Currently there is no spoiler on the Legacy but I think it needs one so I need to figure out what to put on it. Probably somthing with a carbon fiber center section to match my hood and I am going to paint the roof black like the bemers to help brake up the color. I think I am set on the 2010 Legacy foresty green they have. I really like it and its a color I have never seen a Legacy of this year painted before. Here is the only pic I could find. It really pops in the sunlight and I think it will go well with the rest of the mods and still look "luxary sedanish". http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/Tekka_Maki/The%20Portlander/Outback1.jpg http://www.caranddriver.com/var/ezflow_site/storage/images/reviews/car/09q3/2010_subaru_outback-first_drive_review/gallery/2010_subaru_outback_3.6r_photo_31/2774912-1-eng-US/2010_subaru_outback_3.6r_cd_gallery.jpg http://www.autoguide.com/gallery/d/78086-4/2010-subaru-outback-07.jpg I think with maybe a little added gold pearl maybe it will mesh really good with my wheels and calipers. However I am open to suggestions. Johann @ Girodisc
cvagnone
i would do with that green but put a dark green fleck to it to help the color really pop
Gator GT
i would do with that green but put a dark green fleck to it to help the color really pop cvag is onto something...but I think it could either be a dark fleck or a light fleck, like a white pearl fleck. I don't know though, when I had my 98 BD LGT, It was a Black Granite Pearl, and it was a black with a deep purple fleck, MAN that thing turned heads in the sun! I got soooo many compliments on it. Probably one of my favorite colors to date. "If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed." - T. Giro Disc
Went home and got pics early ooo! Still need to pull the bumpers and make everything smooth but these are this is it. They tuck great in the front and in the rear and I can't wait to get her painted. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/lego30.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/lego34.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/lego33.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x223/badwagon/lego29.jpg Johann @ Girodisc
mattg
That thing is going to be insane. How are you going to flare the bumpers. Wouldn't it have been easier to fix the rust before tacking the back flare on?
Giro Disc
I am going to pull the lower parts out and then cut them so I can twist the end piece to match the bubble style flare and fill it in by plastic welding and bonding. Should look stock when its all said and done. As for the rear flare no because I needed to tack it on the see how much I needed to cut out. Everything on the inside of the flare has been fixed or removed but I left that there till I figured out how I was going to do the bumper. Its all going to be molded with filler so that section will be cut out and replaced while the bumpers are being sanded but this way I can get the bumpers all set and my buddy can work on them while I fix that. CDN 2.5i
Regarding the green lugnuts... I messaged the ebay vendor - they're working on a locking lugnut to go with the set, should be ready in a couple months. eg sounds like they've got them on order from asia and they're in transit now I'm going to wait for those before ordering them. Giro Disc
LOL^^. Had a ton to do on Friday so I didn't get my hubs done so the car sits for another week but I am doing some other things to keep me busy. Clean the crap out of the shop after tripping over some crap and smoking my head on Legacy's mirror on the way down. LOL! But started some fab work on the super Scooby getting the pieces cut for the down-pipe and exhaust. I need to snag some exhaust hangers so I can located the exhaust tips and mufflers. As for the Legacy I think I am going to keep the stock hood... for now and try a couple fun things to it while I have it. I'll be doing some work to it tonight to get an idea if thats the route I want to go or to just brake down and get a carbon hood. I still need a trunk and If I can find one, a sunroof. Mine is broke and my headliner has been out of the car for 2 months and I would like my interior to be whole again. Thinking since its Halloween I might head in to Joann's fabrics and see if there are any cool spooky fabrics to wrap my headlights, door inserts and shift boot in. Also I match the leather up to some 2001 Celica seats and its a perfect match and they are much more sportier so I think I'll through those in too. As for the turbo in about a month I'll do the swap. I have a buddy trading a 99 RS N/A longblock for some work and I am going to put the stock STi pistons and rods from the Super scooby in the black with some ARP headstuds and Cometic head gaskets. Then I am going to use parts from my old wagons and the STi motor I didn't use or sell to beef everything up. WRX water pump, STi oil pump/ oil pan, WRX oil cooler, WRX water lines and coolant division thingy. The just a Stock STi radiator, Hoses, and a custom mount to fit it. I'll keep the stock heads untouched unless I decide to port them a little but I donno. For the go fast bits a lot of it will just be stock crap and parts I had laying around from other jobs. STi Header, Catless up-pipe Stock TD04 WRX Turbo, 3" DP. I am going to make a hybrid Manifold using the STi's Complete Fuel Rail/ Injectors w/ the TGVs (deleted) attached to a WRX intake Manifold and Throttle Body. That way I don't have to make some crazy intake system for the Turbo. In the end all I will need to get is a FMIC kit, BOV, Turbo Inlet, Wabro Pump, Cheap 3" catback, and then finally I have an 04 STi hydra that has outdated software on it that I can have re-worked to work in my Legacy so the tuning will be perfect. With the WRX Turbo probably looking in the neighborhood of 275whp and then when one of my STi buddies swaps up to a larger turbo I'll snag a VF39 and go for 320-330whp stage 3 STi power. Should make a nice quick clean DD Legacy. So this week I'll be jumping between the Super Scoob and the Legacy and this week or weekend the Lego will leave to the painting and I'll push to get the super scoob off the lift once the exhaust is done, intercooler/ radiator & core support or done and the brake lines are done.
