Rear badge gone, new look rice or not?

Recommended Posts

To hell with all the naysayers! The more simple and clean, the better. Its not very ricey and it looks clean and different.

+1

My 9.3 cups EJ22 makes me feel like my **** is 2.8 decimeters!

Absolutely! It's all about being unique. Anything that can separate you from any other Scoober on the road is a good thing. Some people think otherwise, but I go out of my way to do seriously weird sh*t to my car... Especially if its JDM. My car is riced the f*** out... Do I care? Nope... No one has a car like mine. :)

That you did:lol: IMO they are the best looking / best suited cans for this car. Elegant, yet slightly aggressive.

Honestly, I think I need to see the lettering in person before casting judgment. One thing I really love about this car (and the shaved rear end in particular) was pulling on a MS3 or EvoX and people asking me "WTF is that" Spelling it out gives it away!

Your legacy lettering kind of reminds me of this:

And quite frankly, if I were to buy a WRX/STI of that generation the SUBARU would be the first thing to get taken off. Perhaps seeing it at the meet this weekend will change my mind.

Yup, I'm with alaskajoel. The only mod to my '05 STi was to remove the "SUBARU" from the trunk lid. It makes it look so much cleaner. The Legacy doesn't look bad though.

Alright here are some more pics, now these can give you a better idea of how it looks:

+1 looks nice. I would personally mount the letters a little higher, midway between the two creases in the trunk...but still think it looks very cool as is.

3M molding tape eh? Thanks! I'm off to the hardware store in case I ever need to put my letters back on!

FWIW I pulled all the lettering off the back of my wagon way back in 2005, except for the 'Legacy' part. I like people thinking I drive a standard Legacy and not the LGT.

I know this is a bit off topic...but I see this pop up in a lot of forums....

3M moulding tape...how does that compare to 3M exterior mounting tape? which is what I have been using. What is so good about 3M moulding tape?
