Oh I dig the purple. Could have easily been too pink or bright or a varity or horrible things but its classy, understated and I would call it a black cherry way more than a purple. Well done for something different that is both inline with the understated looks of the LGTs and subtly beautiful.

Cars filthy from the last RallyX I attended.

But I've been meaning to post in here.

Thanks.. I'll be installing an oil cooler there shortly. I kinda like the engine cover. The whole cars dirty! Have you looked by the wipers.

Picture of course for proof. One of these days I'll get around to washing it.

My other boxer. 2332cc VW Type 1 motor, MSD ignition, ported heads, 48IDA carbs and an A1 sidewinder exhaust. BTW that's 2332cc (2.3 litres) up from 1600 stock  it's stroked and bored a bit hahahttp://i966.photobucket.com/albums/ae142/leviman2001/DSC_0004Medium-1.jpg

I don't have any more pics of the engine (not that they'd show much) but here's my favorite picture of the whole car

Well the front tires rub as is and with the roads up here, it can't really go any lower haha I already scrape so much. Doesn't help that the engine has a low sump that sticks down more than normal (which I had to add a skidplate for because I kept unscrewing the drain plug ). But trust me, I'd love to hahaha

As for the color, everything is so metallic and crazy these days I figure the simple solid grey is almost more fresh. It's supposed to be similar to the old VW "anthracite grey" color, but all I did was match up an original paint chip to the ppg color chart and use the one closest (which was almost identical)

Most recent of mine. Excuse the cell phone cam quality.
