  1. Nice! How does the grimmspeed cooler fit with the LGT hood scoop ducting?
  2. I just wish they had more details about what they've done for the wiring on supergramps. Did the piggyback another ECU in to run the engine? What about gauges? So many questions!
  3. Easy off?? That stuff will peel some paints! I'd be leery of using that, curious to hear more.
  4. Metadata. The photo has a little piece of information that says it's upside down. When it shows on the computer, it ignores that and doesn't flip it.
  5. You sure that can't be cleaned? Just pull em apart and clean up the plastic, if it's etched it, just cut and buff it.
  6. What kind of voodoo goes between a forklift and a drill press to balance a flywheel??
  7. The valve cover bolts are designed so that they bottom out against the shoulder. So it could be that you just snugged em up against the gasket, when you really had more to go. The service manual asks for subary gray sealant. I used ultragray and it worked for me.
  8. Link?!?!?! There's also the guy that frank_ster'd an ls motor into a third gen.
  9. I jacked on the transmission and just raised both sides when I did mine.
  10. Thought the jdm bilstein rears had adjustable spring perches, so I compressed the spring, bashed the perch up... no extra circlip groove. So I put it back on, figuring the spring would settle the perch back down. No dice, so then I bashed on it some in the car, still high. So then I decided I'd try the fun way, and just rally some dirt roads aiming the left rear tire at potholes. And... worked like a treat! Also way fun, and damn do the bilsteins ride nice over washboarded roads!
  11. Not having a sedan, a good problem to have bwahahaha. I could probably pull a third brake light from a junkyard and use that. Which one are you thinking? The spoiler or the parcel shelf?
  12. Third brake as in third brake light? May be a bit tricky, id need a bit of information on dimensions and profiles and stuff, as I don't have a sedan any more. Or just a part in hand that i could take measurements from. Also I'd need info on how your printer interprets files, like what format, how things should be oriented, etc.
  13. I think it's hilarious how adamant that guy was against it and how you just show up a bit later going "well, it's done, and it was pretty easy." Nice job, seems people around here aren't used to stuff that doesn't just bolt in. That being said, yeah, I'm sure there's a cheaper easier way to do it, but shoot, you have two turbos now! haha
  14. Just wanted to chime in and say, if you ever need any help modelling stuff, I'd be down. I mainly use blender, but I'm sure that can be converted to whatever you're working in. Your meshes look a bit messy, but obviously they are functional (and probably generated by the cad program?). Would be cool to have smooth transitions on the gauge pod (which would have to be sanded I'm sure, given your printers resolution).
  15. Because they're running boost on a stock engine with high compression.
  16. Really? I love the seats in my legacy. But I was raised on big squishy american seats that dump you out in corners, so maybe I just like a change. Going to buy a set of fronts to go into my '31 Ford hot rod when the time comes.
  17. When I pulled mine off my 2.5i (not sure how that stacks up vs the turbo cars) it felt slower in the lower end, also a friend following me told me I had black smoke when I floored it (bogging like no other). I have a fairly mild tune on it (little more fuel and timing in the low end, feels better, even A/Bing it), but not that severe. It makes me think it tells the MAF that it's sucking more air than it really is. I should have logged it. Reminds me of the same thing that people trying to do a cold air intake say.
  18. Damn guys, the furthest I've gone is 350 miles on one tank. I thought I was a baws, guess not...
  19. Oh okay, I see. I've heard of the permant rwd conversions, but never a selectable one, that would be so badass!
  20. Wait a minute are you saying there is a way to set up the center diff to have selectable rwd/awd? Or is this only available with a 5EAT?
  21. You know you've gone back in time when the rear main oil seal is made of rope
  22. I wonder if you cranked the boost and fuel up on one of those things (like the diesel truck guys do) how much power you could make? it's already making about 250 ft lbs of torque from a 2.0l engine!
