I know some locals who drive their 1000-2000hp cars around on the street.

Amazing what technology can do anymore, isn't it? A 1000+HP car can be driven on the street with the AC and radio on, go to the track, run an 8.90 and then go home. There was a guy with a turbo small block Fox. He drove from Texas to Florida for a race, entered, won his class running high 8's and then drove home.:lol:

It is really amazing what they can do now with tuning and modern parts. At great lakes they have a street car drag race. All the cars must go on a short cruise in order to show that they can be started, driven, turned off, started and driven some more without needing anything in between. I wanna say the winner is usually in the 8s. I know the winner from a couple years back not sure if he has won again as I havent spoke with him in a couple years. 1700whp 600ci big block with a procharger on it.

There's a similar thing out this way. The guy who always seems to win has a 68/69 Camaro with a 565 and an F3. There's a bunch of videos of him running 7.9x on radials after doing a 30 mile cruise.:lol:

My "new" 1971 Monte.

I like that body style. They are not small by any means but it's a unique car and worlds better than the G-body abomination the 80's gave us. I fell in love with this car over the weekend at Cecil County.

I had a great lunch break today. My boss knows how much I love cars so be tossed me the keys to his courtesy car and told me to have fun. I did. http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a481/CodeRed13/29CB2F5D-C553-4D10-9436-F4C9B3C822E1-1077-000000AC256DBB0E_zps968d97a7.jpg
