TRSCobra
Last month I went to Vegas and did the Exotics Racing driving experience. Drove a Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes SLS AMG, and a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. Also did the drift ride-along in the Corvette Z06. Expensive, but so worth it! FJuan
That's because the same company that owns Lamborghini wanted to invest in the business, but decided to do a hostel take over of Vector and terminate the creator/owner Jerry Wiegert. Lamborghini came out with their own design of the W8, which was basiclly a Murcielago under a different shell. Turned out to be a total flop for Lamborghini. Jerry Wiegert still owns the rights to the original W8 design, and hopefully some day it will return. It could have been the Exotic car of the USA if the investors didn't turn on the owner. rodan
My dream car while I was growing up in the 80's. Vector W8 http://thegarageblog.com/garage/wp-content/uploads/vector-w8-twin-turbo.jpg Last year I was in CA and there was a Vector W8 at the Cars & Coffee in Irvine. 1st one I'd ever seen in person. I took some pics, but of course, now I can't find them... I remember how cool the interior seemed in the 80's... now it looks horribly dated... Still uber cool, though. Even if more modern cars would probably out perform it.
FJuan
During high school we had a project of contacting a business of our desire to do a report on, and of course I chose Vector. I contacted Vecter aeromotive to receive more information about the company. They sent me a full package of material of the company's background, options and pricing. I might still have it some where pack in one of my boxes. Jerry Wiegert always wanted to fly fighter jets, but was never able to do so, so he decided to build a car that would feel like you were in a jet fighter on 4 wheels. Only 16 cars were production produced during 1991 of the W8, prior to that he had several W6 models made, which were the first production cars he made. If you look into the cabin of the W8 it represents a fighter jets layout of the display and switches on the dash. http://www.nthimage.com/Detroit/photoshoots/Vector_W8_15_S2/Vector_W8_int_3.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3076/3156809999_c9cc15bb42_z.jpg?zz=1 My wife's balls are delicious. TRSCobra
^^^ Looks like actual fighter jets might be easier to get in and out of. At least it has the industry standard GM turn signal switch!

Penguin
For anyone curious that Nova is packing a 565ci big block with twin 88mm turbos, blowing around 36lbs of boost through an air to water intercooler. Figure around 2300-2400hp.

Penguin
Just fine. It shoots enough fire out of the waste gates on the turbos to melt all the snow.
