Generally no wife and kids to support; and still with one's parents. So, I would say 22 isnt a bad age to start. 23 would be easier once you have a couple paychecks under your belt and some savings. Now I would agree that buying (paying for on one's own) a car while still in college would be difficult; but thats more like age 18-21 (early 22).
