robert
Gonna have to do an UP/DP uninstall in a few months. What will i need in order to do this? Anyone know? Do i need just the four gaskets?
FJuan
It's always good to use new gaskets. Just let me know in advance and I'll help you with it. My wife's balls are delicious.
robert
thanks dookie! I want to sell my Titek UP and replace it later on with a solid UP that doesnt have the flex-braid in the middle of the pipe. I probably wont uninstall the UP/DP for another 3 months, but i want to have all necessary parts before hand. I think i remember you telling me that its not uncommon to 'snap' a bolt when trying to get the UP to mount up correctly. If i this is true, do you happen to know which bolt so i can try and get a spare one in advance?
FJuan
No prob. Brownrice! A few bolts might snap when taking off the pipes, I snapped off 3 on mine last time. I have plenty of new bolts that you can have, since I stocked up on them last time. My wife's balls are delicious.
robert
snapped 3 of em?!? Wow, must be hella a tight fit. Sounds like a real bitch:confused:
lucasmit
After snapping a bolt on my downpipe I invested in PB blaster($3). It might smell and smoke after you first start it up and it probably isn't the best for the gaskets, but it saves your knuckles, bolts, and a lot of time. it has really good penetrating power! If you are going to use new gaskets, as you should, it will work great! BTW Subaru OEM bolts are expensive but very worth it($7.50/bolt). I bought cheapo ones with the highest grade steel Orchard and Home Depot had and they both stripped quickly. Lots of grinding to get them free.PITA

lucasmit
I don't plan on keeping the car past 70K miles so I figure I should get my money's worth and see what this thing can do lol. I eventually want to switch back to a 2-door/rwd/manual. More fun to drive...
lucasmit
I don't understand why the LGT is so slow from a roll, it doesn't make sense to me.

robert
Spotted a silver/grey wagon this afternoon off the 99 in the south valley..wondering if that was you lucas?
lucasmit
Don't think so... Other wagons do exist!!! lol. I have only seen one other silver gt wagon in fresno and it was a very old man driving it. My car appears completely stock except for tinted windows and red painted brake calipers.
lucasmit
Some times I rock the roof racks for a while after I have been riding. Anyone see the new legacy concept... yuck? I think so... This is the best pic I could find. Looks like a camry to me http://media.canada.com/267c54bd-63f5-4113-9b72-08e5f2aaa7c2/2009_subaru_legacy_concept_01.jpg

robert
The wagon is the first ive seen in this 'country' area of the south valley. I think ive only seen about 5 Leggys ( MY05 or up) in the last two years in the area. Im 45 miles south of Fresno BTW
lucasmit
Sky Harbor Bike Trip
FJuan
I used to love riding up Sky Harbor before the damn casino got bigger. Riding out there is like a death trap now days. I prefer to ride the back side of the lake on the Madera side. The LGT's always looked like the Camrys from the back, and the new concept is starting to grow on me. The more I look at it the better it looks. Some of the cool things are the side mirrors with built in cameras that scans the blind spots so you don't have to look over your shoulder when changing lanes. My wife's balls are delicious.
