blackinches
can anybody recommend a good brake painting kit? i'm looking for brush on ones so i don't have to take off the calipers. i saw the dupli color one, but i heard it's not that durable. also saw the g2 one which is expensive, so i'm wondering if its worth it, or if there is an alternative. MiniStiGuy
I'm wondering the same.... I gotta upgrade my brakes so I figure I might aswell paint the calipers while I'm at it. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
Gmoe
I used the duplicolor kit and so far so good. Applied mid-summer and is still going strong. If it wears a little, there's plenty left to give them another quick coat or 10. No need to remove calipers to apply.
AKLGT
http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1595139#post1595139 G2 kit owns everything. Duplicolor will not withstand heavy usage. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
VXCL
g2 is very good. just have to put the car up on blocks to do all 4 at the same time becuase the work time is only about 1hr before the paint starts drying up, forms a rubber like coating MAYHEM #122/22 STS NNJR SCCA AUTOX4U.COM XENON RETRO GUIDE

blackinches
would 1 g2 kit be enough to do 2 cars' calipers? assuming i'm doing black? would black require multiple coats?

MiniStiGuy
I think I'm gonna get the darker grey color. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
Gire
I think I'm gonna get the darker grey color. +1 on dark grey. That's my future choice. Could pass OEM, but noticably better than the 2005 OEM raw metal/ rust look that I currently have.
porcupine73
I used the G2 on some soob calipers. It seems like a top quality product. You have to mix this little vial of reactor with the paint, then you have maybe an hour working time. I think the secret is to thoroughly wire brush the calipers and use the non-chlor brake cleaner they give since the stuff won't stick to dirt.
