Dude, my buddy is a palayer with 0 game, and a huge head (ego wise). He's really funny to watch. All you have to do is say a girl is hot, and he's off to grind on her. It's funny! Scotty, I guess I forget that you are actually hoping to get some. I go out with him once every couple of months just because it's fun to watch him work a room, and I never expect to get a girl from it (married and all), but I bet he can't be good for those of you actually in the game. Maybe if he scares them bad enough, they'll come running to you! '

And Han! Ditto what Scotty said! ........unless you're really 14 and don't want to blow your cover.

like a little pit-bull puppy running around with it's red rocket hanging out.

i might try to join in on one of these meets, see how crazy you guys really are.

Yeah, I was hoping to ease my way in there if she wasn't game for him. To be honest, I'm not so much a "getting some" kinda guy though. I might not come off like it, but I'm not down w/ one night stands. More of a relationship guy. And again, I think good ones can start in bars.

I'm still down for the install day this Sat! And yeah Brett, I'll meet ya for the drive. Bring your radar detector!

I'll drop by if I can. I may be accepting a job in Denver (will know by Friday), and if so will be busy all weekend meeting with realtors and getting my place in the Springs ready to put on the market.
Sounds good, let me know if you need directions...

Well, if we are going to do any of your fluids, you will need to bring them a long ;) You would need Tranny and Diff Fluid, (Might check w/ Sper and see if they will sell you 7 quarts or so of the Subaru Extra-S) Coolant, Brake Fluid, oil, and that is about it...

Sounds like we will be doing a lot of 30k.

I think according to the official schedule the tranny and diff fluid just needs to be inspected. But a lot of us like how the Extra-S helps with the shifting. If you would like a smoother shift get the Extra-S, otherwise I would just leave the tranny and diff fluid as is for the 30k. Oh yeah, don't forget the oil filter too... ;)

Are we meeting at your house first Ted?

i'm down for the meet. after reading thru keefe's brake upgrade sticky I picked up some hawk hps pads and well as goodridge ss lines, so if we get some time that'd be badass to get those on. (i figured the stock rotors should be fine, as i don't track the car and only do spirited driving when outside of town) :)

what i got for my 30k fixor:

5qts mobil1 - (figure I could just keep the extras to use if i burn up oil)

ate super blue

goodridge ss lines

hawk hps pads

subaru coolant

subaru oil filter

spray bottle for water

extra towels

(have an avo filter from the fundraiser on the way, so we'll skip the whole air filter change and save some $)

and we'll just inspect the ATF and replace later down the line

anything else i'm forgetting or can help contribute to? do i need to bring tools or anything?

also, for payment for using the lift, check cash plastic? and if someone can give me an address too that'd be great. i'll be leaving from boulder, if anyone wants to meet on the way down let me know, got an escort detector to help us out

lookin' forward to meeting everyone but art cause i already met him.

Never mind...

well i could've just said looking forward to meeting everyone. but then it would be like we never got to share the joy of me driving with a donut 45 mph in a 65 zone to meet you for a new wheel!

but yea, i picked up my parts, and did a rough estimate, with the upgraded pads, ss lines, and fluid, along with a tank of gas to get down there, i'm technically saving about 100 bucks from having my dealer do a routine 30k check, with upgraded fluides it would be even more! and not to mention i'll be learning alot about our cars in the process and making some new friends.

install meets FTW! :)

So Ted, here's what I'm thinking......

On my truck, I need to do the water pump. With a lift and a place to drain the radiator fluid, that will take maybe an hour.

Greta is thinking about driving down with me, and I have lines, rotors, pads, drums and shoes for her car. With the hydraulic tools, that can be done in about an hour too.

If you think we can get in both our vehicles, I am down to help out and lend the other 6-12 hours we are there to building LGT's. ..... I miss LGT's. I juns really need to service our vehicles, so that is a priority this weekend.

Oh, and Greta is looking forward to hanging out with your lady!

life in spin cycle.....:spin:

agreed. my goal is to get the 30k stuff done, and if people are willing to help me out with pads and lines we'll do those as well. i really just wanna watch and learn so i can do this maintenance without the stealership
