Well, I've been going to RPI for 5 years now (finishing up my masters this semester), so not new to the region, but definitely new to Subarus.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Welcome to the forum and the region!

I highly recommend Capitaland Subaru in glenville i haven't had any bad experiences there. I have no experience with carbone so i can't compare the two.

I just purchased an Evo 3 16g Turbo from BNR Supercars because mine died on me like so many other 05 legacy owners. I purchased the VAG com cable and an e-tune from infamous. does anyone have any experience with doing this tune. Ive never done any king of tuning before and figured this would be the best way to learn. Theres a lot of info on the site but nothing very clear or step by step. Im installing the turbo tonight and would like to get the tune started soon after so I can get the car back on the road again.

Any help is appreciated

I'm 10 min south of Albany. I've done a BNR 18g with all the goodies for fuel etc. I've got a few widebands and a VAG-COM cable. The cable will work for flashing and logging on your 2005. I've been using romraider etc for a while and it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Do you have other mods besides the evo 16g? That's a sweet turbo. I'll PM you my cell #.

Just took delivery of my Legacy 2.5i SE (Newport Blue Pearl), so if you see one around with Mass plates it's probably me. Can't wait until the weather warms up so I can take a trip down Rt. 2 into North Adams.

Oh hai Shedd: Welcome.

Everyone else: I've got sidefeed 850cc injectors, new 255lph walbro, custom external waste gate system, Cobb heat shield, PTP turbo blaket and Perrin silicone inlet for sale if anyone locally is interested. Flexible on prices too for guys in the area. Also - does anyone have a VF40 they've pulled - it's okay if toasted I'm going to have it rebuilt.

I got a pretty newish VF40 I got before I went VF52. It only has about 15k on it IIRC. I forgot where I put it, but it had no shaft play or signs of wear last I remember.

Sent you a PM. I've got a couple leads on VF40 cores that all need to be rebuilt.. but I'd prefer not to bother with that.

If anyone could help me figure out why ECUFlash will not connect to my car it would be greatly appreciated. My BNR turbo has been installed and my infamous tune has been received. Only problem is I cannot write it to the car. Learning view and romraider both work like a charm with my cable but for some reason whenever i try to read/write/ or test with ECUFlash i get the error message "no vehicle interface, interface close" (green test connectors under glove compartment are connected). Im at a loss.
