if you have air tools, an impact wrench should work. don't take the nut off till you have the spring compress.

See that spring compressor sitting to the right of the shock in the last pick.....use those.

To get the top nut off you have three options. Pass-thru socket, 17mm offset wrench, air impact (don't worry about taking it off with the impact, you just don't want to put it back on with it......ask PGT ;) )

Wait till you get to the rears.

theres enough room to get the crows foot in there?

Yeah, but it takes a little work. I trimmed the rubber portion back, which prevents using the dust cap BTW, and used washers to raise the nut as close to the top of the strut shaft as possible w/o exposing any net threads.

1. break the nut loose while still mounted on the car

2. remove struts

3. compress spring

4. dis-assemble

You can re-torque when installed on the car. You think the front is hard? Wait 'till you get to the lower rear strut bolt

and yeah I've heard only awesome things about that rear bolt that I just can't even wait!!!! it seems like it's just going to be a party

rear bolt is easy:

1. liquid wrench

2. attach wrench/attach breaker bar

3. use the floor jack to jack up on breaker bar

4. once broken, move jack to support strut.

5. pound out bolt

Or you can just use a impact with a 6in extension to clear the rotor.
