If they release a C63 wagon version........

That just vaulted to the top of my replacement car's list;)

The current C55's can be had for under 50 brand new!!

06 C55's with very low miles can be had for the low 40's:):):)

Its a baby S-class. They certainly needed something to compete with the 3 series which has just been kicking their butt in this segment.

Just keep it in warranty. This is coming from a Mercedes guy, we've had at least one in my family for 25 years ;) You thought Detroit was having quality issues....

I like the look of the new C.

I also like the new S, it looks like Merc has returned to a more classic and cohesive design language for their line.

looks of a Hyundai Azera + Mazda RX-8 = cohesive?

Quote from Autoweek..

"With the exception of the C350 which receives Mercedes-Benz’s seven-speed automatic, all new C-Class models come as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox. Buyers can order the seven-speed automatic on V6 models, with four-cylinder models getting an older five-speed unit on request."

Oh and the wagon comes in the fall.

AFAIK, 4matic is actually a pretty good AWD system. Not sure what the current incarnation is like.

Original 4matic was crap. RWD until wheel slippage and alot of it for that matter. My boss' E class had the 4matic jammed on and it burnt out the motor.

The new 4Matic which debuted in the latest S class is quite advanced to my knowledge, but different from Subarus operation, not neccessarily better or worse.
