axis008
As many of you know, the Legacy only comes with an auto down window for the driver's side only. I found this quite proposterous, so I looked into a way to fix this "peeve" of mine. I knew a company called AutoLoc makes some really random things for custom cars such as power windows, flame throwers, suicide doors, and the sort. I emailed them asking if they had such a device to allow factory windows to have the auto up/down feature, and I got a response directing me to this product: http://www.autoloc.com/detail.lasso?itemid=WC1000. Check it out. I hope this might help some people. Please reply if you plan on purchasing this! I'd like to see how the install goes. One thing about that product above is that I'm not sure if you have to buy one for every window or just one unit for all. Can someone check out the installation PDF file and see if that helps at all? -ben
John M
Yep, it looks like one per door. Lots of alarm manufacturers make a similar item. I think I have a window controller from Directed Electronics somewhere around here...
Ninjapimp
This is the one we talked about in June. I've been meaning to get it, but I haven't yet. centerpunch
I'm sure this is obvious, but auto-up for power windows is potentially very dangerous if you have kids..... in fact, there is a new law for manufacturers covering this: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/power_windows.html
John M
Lexus offers all 4 windows auto up and down, only from the drivers door though.
rao
My S4 had all 4 auto up and down, but the OEM's have a mechanism that stops the window if it is blocked in auto mode. This way of doing it won't and that could make thngs unpleasant. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT

agctr
AXIS, take your car in there to get it installed, you never know, they might throw in the sucide doors for free..... Adam.
PGT
FYI - have an extra one of these in my garage that I pulled from the last Honda I owned. It will control all windows up or down (or 'vent' with an alarm's pulsed output). I have it posted over in the 'For Sale' forum....if anyone needs one. I will accept almost any offer, since I don't need it.
This is the one we talked about in June. I've been meaning to get it, but I haven't yet. Guest *Jedimaster*
Get the Lambo scissor door kit. And don't forget to turn your ballcap sideways and let your pants hang off your hips
Th3Franz
You know the parking stalls are so tight at my apartment that the lambo style doors might make my life easier. :p -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
Guest *Jedimaster*
What would make life easier is if all cars had scissor doors. No more more door dings.
tantal
They're not dangerous at all - if the manufacturer builds in the safety lock. You could put your pinky finger in the windows of my A4 and the window will open back up as it encounters your finger. You can't hurt yourself on these windows.
