  1. Wow, interesting to comb through. I don't like their decision, but it does put their move to axe the GT MT wagon and then GT wagons all together in perspective.
  2. PFF7 18x8 Bright Flitter, BF Goodrich Super Sport A/S 225/40/18:)
  3. Just installed a set of the 65W H7s bought from suvlights.com (they were about $40 before tax and shipping). I have noticed that they are brighter and a higher color temperature than the stock H7s and my previous European Silverstars. For me, I think they offer more bang for the buck than the Silverstars -- with those, I really didn't notice a difference over the stock H7s.
  4. Santa Ramen is very good. About as close as you can get to real Japanese ramen on this side of the Pacific. It's a hole in the wall with a menu that focuses just on ramen. And the lines are very long. If Santa is closed or too crowded, Himawari on 2nd ave is not too bad. A little more fancy decor, broader menu but the ramen (actually more the noodles) are not as good. There's also another place that opened up near Suruki market on 4th that seems to be getting some foot traffic -- but I haven't had the chance to eat there. Ken
  5. Blue LGT sedan, eastbound on Hillsdale headed towards 101, Friday around 2:30PM.
  6. I suspected it had to be a fellow LGT.com member too. This is actually my first time being spotted after having owner my LGT for almost two years! Very nice pics! It gives me some idea of what I would like to get when it's time to upgrade the wheels. What brand and size tire do you have on those 18s? So you also did a suspension mod as well? Ken
  7. That would be me. Felt good to give a thumbs up to a fellow LGT owner! BTW, were those stock rims you were on? Ken
  8. Two sightings this weekend on Sunday, 2-26-06: Black debadged LGT wagon with tint turning off onto 92 from 101S around 3:30PM. Silver LGT wagon in Belmont pulling into the lot by Peets and Safeway. Around 4:30PM.
  9. Hey, congratulations! That's great! Is married life going to hamper your production capacity? Ken
  10. White GT wagon around 8:15AM Jan 6th on southbound on 280 from Palo Alto to Cupertino.
  11. How are you getting your audio signal from your iPod? Are you simply going off the headphone jack (couldn't tell from your photo). The line-out audio from the dock connector on the bottom is of higher quality and higher level and is the source you really should be using. The iTrip, IIRC, get's it's audio from the headphone jack. Ken
  12. Today (10-13-05) around 9:10 Southbound 280 before Page Mill -- A silver LGT wagon with tinted windows -- just like mine! It was strange to see an almost mirror image on the road. Ken
  13. Good Lord! 27! I'm using my iPod with the Belkin auto kit and I rarely go past 15. Ken
  14. ABP GT wagon on eastbound 92 before ECR exit in San Mateo around 7:30AM, today. Ken
  15. No ground loop problem with my setup even though I ran the audio cable along the power line. And I am charging my iPod using the accessory outlet in the cubby. Ken
  16. I ran a single 6' cable from the back of the HU, down the under the ashtray, along the shift selector and under the center box. I drilled a hole in the storage compartment, cut a small hole in the mat and ran the cord up that way. I also zip-tied the cable along the power cable that runs under the center box. Ken
  17. Yes, I have my iPod connected to a Belkin Auto Kit which is plugged into the 12V outlet in the storage cubby. I simply drilled a hole through the bottom of the cubby, cut a hole in the carpet and ran the mini-jack cable up to the Auto Kit. I also zip-tied the cable to existing cables under the center console box. I prefer this set up because it allows me to store both the iPod, Auto Kit and cables out of sight in the cubby. Ken
  18. Just installed the Aux-in this afternoon. All I can say is AWESOME! Clean, CD-quality sound flowing through my Legacy GT. No noise, no FM limited dynamic range, no ground loop. Just a few comments from the installation: I managed to get that over torqued screw with the subwoofer ground off the bracket. It took several tries and I nearly stripped the screw, but I managed to get it out. For those who might have the same problem, I found that removing all the screws except the problematic one and then rocking the bracket around that screw helped. I was worried about leaving the board floating, but after putting it all together, I felt that between the tension of the ribbon cable and the mini-stereo jack, there was enough strain relief. I covered the front of the headunit with painter's tape to prevent scratches. That made it a lot easier to work with since I could turn the HU on it's face to access the rear screws. A 6' mini headphone jack cord was enough to route all the way from the headunit to the center storage console under the armrest. Following Craig's advice, I applied medical cloth tape to the plastic parts on the center console to minimize rubbing and squeaking. Ken
  19. Oh-oh. I think I might have that problem too. I noticed that ground wire too back when I installed my FM modulator, but I was able to work around it. I tried removing it then and remember that the screw wouldn't budge. I'm not sure why some vehicles have it and others don't. Ken
  20. Got home yesterday and mine had arrived. Very nice job with the whole packaging and instructions. I was pleasantly surprised at the effort you put into making this happen. Thanks again! I'll probably install the board this weekend. I'm also going to be ditching my FM modulator. Will let you know how it goes! Ken
  21. Thanks again for all the hard work. I can imagine that the packaging is the hard and tedious part! I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my board! You mean you haven't sold 100 yet? Ken
  22. Jazzy -- the photos look great! I can't wait to get mine! BTW, the shrink wrap on the board isn't included right? Also, did you simply leave the board floating in the HU? Ken
  23. Great news. Looking forward to it! Thanks again for helping out the AUX-in imparied community! Ken
  24. The black wagon I saw had no tint and no visible modifications. Ken
  25. Saw a black GT Ltd wagon 5MT parked in San Mateo a block from Beresford park. Ken
