Xenonk
not that I have seen.. just a lot of clearance issues to deal with to make it work.. are you planning to run and FMIC?? Keefe
br7sv9x8
something like that and i want to find the shortest way to run it.
jsalicru
Umm, its easier to reverse it with the LGT manifold than it is with the STi unit. Check out PDX Tuning's car here on this site. On IWSTi or NASIOC check out Nixlimited's STi. He's running the LGT unit, reversed with a Perrin GT30. Got 460whp with race gas. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. And that he tops his cereal with nuts and bolts. All we know is, he's called the Jose."

m sprank
Its an STi, but I think this is what you are looking for Mike.
mwiener2
exactly what I was looking for. Thanks My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
m sprank
No problem. I enjoy checking out different set ups. Gives me ideas for future projects. I collect engine bay shots for just such projects. This guy built one mean arse big turbo motor. His block is fully built too. I really like the powder coat on the pipes for color match. Custom DP is nice too. Heck of a lot of work to be different. Gotta hand it to the guy. It came out clean.
mwiener2
I havn't dug into it yet, but I think our plastic manifold reverse easier than the metal ones. We don't have to move alternator or power steering pump. My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
m sprank
From my understanding it is not that difficult. Lots of plumbing to do, but as you can see from the final pic. The power steering, alternator and A/C are all intact.
rtbrjason
Nice pics.. That seems so much more efficient.
m sprank
That turbo is breathing better, thats for sure.
rao
I doubt the intake manifold can hold up to the stress. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
m sprank
Yeah Rob your probably right. No way it can handle sitting on top of the motor. Bet it breaks in a matter of minutes, LOL.
rao
I have read that plastic intake manifolds are pretty weak and prone to leaks. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT

TRSCobra
With the TB on the right side, there's no way you can run a stock location turbo, though.
DrSpeed
Seems like that there is the same amount of plumbing involved with that setup as well. From the stock location, the pressurized tubes do a lap around the engine, and it seems to be the same case going in a clockwise rotation too. Instead of routing back up the left side to the intake manifold from the CAC, now the turbo feeds the CAC along the the firewall, following the left fender. hmm.... BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM. mwiener2
my setup will have no pipes around the back of the engine now My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
DrSpeed
my setup will have no pipes around the back of the engine now That's what you need. Have the turbo on one side, run across the CAC, and have the inlet on the other. BANNED FROM THE TIKI FORUM.
integroid
my setup will have no pipes around the back of the engine now So are you going to use a FMIC that has the inlet and outlets on the same side?
