fweasel
I'm using a 10" with about 360watts RMS and it hits plenty hard. I'm more of a sound quality guy myself and have no regrets of sticking w/ the 10". ignore him, he'll go away.

16psibrick
my opinion on CDT, is a bit limited by the fact that i have only installed and heard a total of say 20 setups...to be honest, i am not overly impressed...but then again, everyone is very specific when it comes to sound qualiyt likes and dislikes, i just dont find cdt to have the smoothness i enjoy in some of hte higher end dls speakres. but cdt seem to be well built and sorted out for sure  but i always ay, as long as you pick quality equipment, 90 percent or more of how a system sounds comes down to installation and tuning  b

SubLo
OK. My system is installed and I'm thrilled. I'll post pix in a couple of days. QUESTION: How are you guys securing the stealth boxes to the trunk? I can't figure out a decent solution. I don't want to drill bolts through the box into metal. Anybody else run into this issue? Is there a decent way of securing these things to the carpet? I see there are hooks on both sides of the trunk I guess for the cargo net. Has anyone incorporated these? ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
sgt
I have found that nothing is necessary to hold mine in place.
SubLo
I have found that nothing is necessary to hold mine in place. Glad to hear it. Unfortunately, mine fit perfectly but fall down around even medium turns especially the driver side. The only thing I can think of other then screwing into the metal or welding a bolt there is the sew in some Velcro into the carpeting in 4 o 5 spots. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
sgt
Perhaps run a small bungee on the top side through the carpet to the metal behind to keep it from tipping over.

SubLo
I hate to say this, but how long before your amps overheat? That is a pretty insulated spot to have them... Yeah. I've thought about that. So far, so good. I've run them for an hour or two with no issues. They each have thermal overload protection. However, I'm not exactly done with this project. I plan on replacing that OEM panel with a nice plexiglass/lexan piece with slotted vents and possibly a 12v fan or two. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...
