An M5 is basically a 5 series that has been tuned by BMW's motorsports division, albeit with an exclusive engine... hence why the STi Legacy NEEDS a turbo 3.5l H6 and not a 2.5 with more boost... damn boost junkies... No, the point is that the official name of the Legacy is "Subaru Liberty GT, tuned by STi", where as the official name of the WRX STi is, "Subaru Impreza WRX STi" So like its not "tuned" by anything, just straight up STi. I think that's the point that was trying to be made. I think a Legacy STi needs to be subtle as well, with respect to badging. Whereas the WRX STi is meant to evoke a rally inspired look, I think for the LGT, all that needs to be done is put the STi badge on the grill, and replace the 2.5GT on the back with STi.
