chucktoo
Picked up the kit today - most of the rest of the goodies are here also. Eninge was started beginning of the week . Will be 5.5 l 8.7:1 cr - positive displayment supercharger, probably about 14 psi boost with water and methanol injection. It will have the equivolent of Accessport with mulitple maps for different fuels and boosts. Expecting 500-600 RHP with full torque by 2000 rpms. In a 2500 lb car this will be fast. Will post pictures every couple of weeks. Goal is to make SCCA tech inspection April 8 th- will run SPO in SCCA and SU in NASA. Need to meet all the same safety requirements as a GT-1 car. chucktoo
Hi Only took 18 months but the race car is finished - been to LRP and the Glen. It is a take no prisoners car - wish I could have finished the Subaru but that was not to be. Ended up building it with another engineer - same old story a bunch of shops that did not deliver -as I have foundout painfully if it is really different you have to do it yourself. Will be running NASA NE every chance I get - LRP a couple of more times this year. We are still tuning the engine - 80s ECU are a unique experiance . This was the dyno at only 10 psi of boost - obviously a supercharger. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y6/chucktoo/dyno1042007small.jpg When fully tuned and at 15 psi should be over 600 rwhp. Gave up being street legal in Mass unless SEMA bill passes. http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/ubb/get_topic/f/1/t/097403.html Charlie
Ryokosman
Nice. Rode in a FFR at MMP once. Sweet cars. Alum fixed back seats leaved a bit of comfort to be desired though. LOL

Garandman
That's very sad to learn and all the best to his wife. I didn't realize until now but I've met him several times at different meetings. I've seen the car built at SolidWorks [they use SolidWorks to design them so they come to a lot of user meetings} and FFive has a nice product. 808subaru
Wow, RIP chuck. All the best to family and friends. We just buried a good friend here last week when his bike went down on some uneven gravel. Funerals are rough on family and friends. Sorry to hear of his passing.
