Started in Portland and went to San Francisco then came back via Lake Tahoe and Reno on through Lassen Park. 1900+ miles in all... Heading to San Francisco. Night pic of Mt. The California Hwy Patrol waived me through without giving me a second look. Car handled very well coming over the passes at Kirkwood. Can't say so for a Cadillac Escalade that was smashed into a tree! What about the GMC Jimmy that did a triple roll... Then there were a few fender benders too. Some people drive crazy on ice. If you pass through the Lake Shasta area again, be sure to stop in at the Bass Hole at Lakehead for burgers and a beer, and say hi to Dave and Cheryl.
