I drove a rented Pontiac Sunfire up Pikes Peak and overheated halfway up the hill. Being a little over 14k feet high was an experience I'll never forget.

I live at the foothills of pikes peak. They’re putting a new visitors center at the top right now. The road to the top (or the cog railway) is really a great experience for people visiting the city so I’m glad you did it. The hike is brutal. I’ve done a few 14ers (as we call them here) but Pikes Peak was by far the longest and hardest one of them.

88 Dodge Grand Caravan is long gone unfortunately but it did make a trip up too. So did my 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan and my 2002 Chrysler Town and Country LXI, and now my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan CV (we went back a few days later and went as far as we could but due to the new visitor center being built, we were stopped about 2/3 of the way up and had to ride shuttle buses to the top).

They all had this turbo on them just to make sure I had enough power.
