The box is just a resistor that supposedly gives you a HP increase by making the ECU think that the air entering the intake is cooler and puts it in a open loop mode which in turns injects more gas and may mess with timing as well. That is what people that have dissected it say it does. It is not worth it, and you can probably use the money in a strip joint and get more satisfaction out of it, or course if that is your thing.
