valleylegacy
I recently bought a 2005 Legacy BP5 Limited 5MT with 150K on it. The car came from back east without an engine. Perfect shell to my ultimate build project. Creating a LHD 06-08 JDM BP5 Legacy Tuned By STI Wagon. Well as close as I can to it. Stay tuned for pics and progress. I bought a 07 JDM Legacy EJ20Y front clip with the 6MT attached. It had only 27K miles on it. Adan and his team #AQMOTORSPORTS in Torrance, CA will be conducting the build for me. 06-08 JDM Legacy Spec B Transmission Code - TY856WBDAA http://legacygt.com/forums/<a href=https://flic.kr/p/WgEkAh target=_blank> Edited July 9, 2017 by valleylegacy
magnusonsubie
YES! I can't wait to see what you do with this. Knowing the connections you have to JDM parts galore this will be amazing! 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

valleylegacy
Thank you friends. Here are the first set of pictures I took of the front clip. Edited July 9, 2017 by valleylegacy
valleylegacy
I was very surprised that it was only used for 27K miles and the condition of the motor + 6MT was superb. The entire front end was in really great shape and even the headlight harness is there so I can plug and play the JDM REV D-F HID headlights + leveling function! The challenge will be to get the wiring harness and accessories to be installed the opposite way since it is going into a LHD car. Some of the few things I've already picked up are: 1. 2015 STI 13:1 quick steering rack + coupler joint 2. Cusco LHD steering rack brace 3. Whiteline bushings of course 4. F/R Brembo calipers + brackets + DBA 4000 slotted rotors + stainless steel lines 5. KNS brake shoes 6. Complete EDM LHD center console set up 7. JDM REV D-F Wagon tailights more to come! valleylegacy
I sourced the entire LHD EDM Center console system so that I could have the JDM/EDM 06-08 style interior. It was a long haul to get everything but it's so much better than the USDM one. Parts from 4 different countries. Can't wait to get this installed. Also sourced the JDM REV D-F Dual Console box + Tuned By STI Arm Rest (on the way from Japan) which is black alcantara + white stitching instead of just plain rubber. 06-08 EDM Center Console Assembly JDM Dual console Box Part Number - J2017AG000 There are just too many part numbers to list so here are 3 links that give you a complete guide of all part numbers for the parts needed http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/en_b13/type_81/body_equipment_interior/instrument_panel/illustration_5/ http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/en_b13/type_81/body_equipment_interior/console_box/illustration_5/ http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/en_b13/type_81/body_equipment_interior/console_box/illustration_7/ Ended up replacing the cup holder mats Part Number - 92177AG150 And sourced a new cup holder assembly from the S402 since it has the gloss gunmetal color trim Part Number - 66150AG210JC Edited July 9, 2017 by valleylegacy

magnusonsubie
Did you get the glove box and other under dash pieces with it as well or just the center console? 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B
valleylegacy
How much would it cost to source another LHD EDM center console? man...this thing...after all the wait time and back orders on parts, I nearly paid over $600 for source everything needed for a bolt on install. I can find them again but it's just costly if you wanna go that route. It was a combination of Bahrain, Germany, Sweden, Israel to get these parts. Not to mention over 2-3 months of searching. But I do have access to get them
valleylegacy
Did you get the glove box and other under dash pieces with it as well or just the center console? Everything you see in the pictures is what I was told and learned that you need to install it. I will let you know if there is anything further. These parts are actually for the LHD EDM 07 3.0R Spec B. So I was told it is a direct fitment to our USDM LHD cars. I wasn't aware if we needed to get the glove box as well. Ill find out once I get around to installing it.
magnusonsubie
I was just thinking the way that the trim is. It will just end rather than being carried through with the rest for the pieces. 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B
tysparks81
But he should be able to use a glove box from an 08-09 which carries over the trim on the glovebox. But no way to know for sure until it gets put into place. Subbed for greatness that is about to happen. Edited January 30, 2017 by tysparks81 #LGTSTi is still cheaper and nicer then an equal year wrxsti Follow my 2007 Spec B. Build here

valleylegacy
Good to hear, thank you. I guess I have to now source a 2008-2009 glove box and...under steering trim? I would guess the under steering trim has to be from LHD?
madrig
yes from a lhd i bought the panel new , it was like 45 dollar . use one was more expensive with shipping ! what is expensive are the trim, what subaru call ornament" . forget ! also need for best result cover assembly column , cause the opening in the lower panel is different due to the column that extend for 2008 and tilt for 2006 .
