Great day in the morning!! I finally got rid of the annoying ticking. I emailed Bren this morning and the first thing he asked was if I mounted the EBCS to metal. I had it mounted to the frame rail and he said that they make a lot of noise. Sure enough it must have been echoing through the body, there by being more loud in the car. Now my car purrs like a kitten. A very angry kitten, but anyway I am thrilled. Tomorrow I will do my first 3rd pull datalog. So far Bren says all has checked out, so now the real fun begins.

Yippee

So I did my first 3rd pull today. I ran a virtual dyno on the new base map vs. my old stage 1 e tune. Very interesting to look at. Even on the base tune HP is up over 50HP. Torque is near identical, but with the new base map comes on at a higher rpm. I am sure that will be worked out throughout the tune though. One thing you can see right off though is how much more linear the power increase is over the previous set up. I plan to keep posting virtual dyno graphs throughout the process so we can see the evolution of the tune.

SO I finally got a good datalog for rev2. The first one timing was all off because of heat soak. I had been in traffic right before. Anyway, this one looks like we are heading in the right direction. HP is down a tad but at peak HP rpm is above the HP for the base map at the same rpm. Base map peak was at redline so not really a good place for it. Torque is up about 35 and boost peaked at about 21 with no overboost at all. So all in all Bren is so far doing a great job and things are looking great. Below is the vdyno of the run and then another comparing the base and rev 2.

Question does anybody know if the h6 will fit in a 2003 Subaru legacy gt

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Lol yes. Same engine bay as the H6 outbacks from 00-04

Since you're new. We'll let that post slip through the cracks but threads like this are meant to stay on topic for what is being discussed. DONT discuss this any further create a new thread in the appropriate section.

Thanks S2. I was going to mention something, but you beat me to it.

pariswalker96: Should fit just fine. I am sure that it would be relatively easy to find a 3.6 used as well, since they were pretty common in outbacks etc.. That being said, welcome to the forum and please try to keep threads on topic.

Ran the datalogs for rev3 today. Datalogs look great. Power and torque are both up from rev 2. Peak hp and tq are at the same rpm as well. Overall ran great. Still quite a bit of smoothing out to do, but very happy so far. Boost is again just over 21PSI and no overboost sofar. WGDC is at about 55, so still a lot of room there too.

I know they are a bit strange looking. If you look back at my original stage 1 tune it had similar dips. I am thinking it is a vdyno thing. Bren assures me all is looking real good. I am sure his software is much better than virtual dyno. The road is pretty flat so nothing weird there. We still have several revisions to go, so I am sure things will smooth out.

Heres hoping anyway

So I just got word from Bren that my tune is finished. Power is great and really smooth. I especially love the fact that even at half throttle after 3k the boost just flies up to 21. Makes for some really fun cruising. There is more power to be had, but as expected I have run into stock intercooler limitations. SO for the time being I am limited where I am at, mind you I am not complaining, this thing is a rocket. Next step will eventually be a new intercooler. Of course from what I have read there are really not a ton of gains from what is available for us aftermarket, so maybe meth or possibly just a simply water spray for the intercooler. I plan on experimenting with that this weekend. So for now this is where I am at.

So, Let the enabling begin:lol:
