Solgt's "Sleeper Status" Build Thread

I'm pretty sure water can come in through the snorkus while driving normally.

Another undesired performance enhancement from Subaru :spin::lol:

Hey man, that's a free upgrade to a water injection system whenever it rains, I'll take it. My DAM shot straight up to 1 this morning in the rain, and I was stuck behind someone on the on ramp. That's practically scientific proof!

So after my last time at the dyno I made less power\torque dueb to improper wastegate operation.

Well today Jermaine tuned it for the intake and the car gained back torque 320\350. Made less hp in large partdue to 91° plus high humidity.

Can hardly wait for the front mount.

Sorry didn't update sooner.

So after a new viscous diff, 6puck clucth, head gaskets, finish mounts for the intercooler. Driving is a bit different. With my previous clutch pedal having a push factor of wtf to now being slightly stiffer than stock, but when its grabs it grabs! I mean I'm so used to pushing a heavy pedal that you hear a bang now from how easy it is.

What intercooler core is that?

TurboXS 15+ WRX front mount.

I will say this was not a straight bolt on. Requires holes to be opened, made, pieces to get trimmed. Took me admittedly 2 weeks of trial and error with fitment and mounting solutions.

Can't be happier with the components and how it turned out.

Is the install pretty much like the one described here?

Trying to figure out which is easier out of the 2 if there is a difference.

IIRC the crash bar on the 08-14 wrx lines up with our cars perfectly, but I do like the way the one he used is somewhat reinforced around the radiator.
