cmdetailing
Well it has been awhile... I am a very busy man. The engine is in the car, new brakes installed, and wheels are put on. Current issues I am waiting to fix is on the new oil line I accidenttly put to copper washes on the banjo bolt on the back of the passenger head. My wide band gauge isnt turning on so I need to look at that. Lastly my front bumper is still off. Other than that I should have it done Labor day weekend. Yes I was aware. Apparently I forgot to take off the old one prior to installing the new one. Haha I will blame it on a long night oversight. Does anyone know the best fuse for a AEM wideband gauge and where to ground it?
Max Capacity
Ground should be to any place on the frame of the car. Not sure about the fuse. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. cmdetailing
Started it up and no oil leak! There seems to be some smoke coming from the up pipe? Can't determine if it's all the oil from that leaking line or exhaust leak... Also I thought that the Con downpipe doesn't need a gasket for the stock catback? Seems to be a leak? Max Capacity
I run a Grimmspeed 2X gasket at the DP to stock midpipe. Max Capacity
My Invidia DP mates up cleanly with the stock mid pipe using the 2X gasket. No adapter needed. You need to get under the up pipe with a good flash light and check out if you have a leak above it. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. Max Capacity
Oh yea, may be call a local yard and see if they can find you an lower engine cover. I just went through that thought process looking for a use propeller shaft, they don't have a listing for that either. Some of the yards had them listed under rear driveshaft. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. cmdetailing
You can cut up a furnace filter from home depot, they are a few bucks. That is an interesting idea. Would have never thought of that. I saw on an episode on Mighty Car Mods that all your need to do is remove the glove compartment to get to the filter. Is it really that easy?
