As mike said, the ComC strut tops are for non-bilsteins. Make sure the lower bolt holding the konis in is also still tight. Is your compression zero or is it lower than the others? Let's see. My 05LGT developed a ringland issue at 50k miles. 60k they replaced the pistons and rebuilt the motor. At 85k it again developed low compression and oil consumption. They put a short block in and in the process ruined my rad and flywheel. This was all done under my warranty so I didn't pay to have it done and they replaced the rad and flywheel before giving me the car back. On my 2011 STi at 20k miles it also developed a ringland and main bearing issue. New short block under warranty. Had to return to the dealer several times to get it fixed, most notable they didn't tighten the turbo inlet down and it blew off when I was a few 100 miles from the dealer. Mind you my cars were bone stock in terms of the motor setup, so it wasn't an issue of mods causing the issues. On the lgt I only knew there was an issue because of increased oil consumption. Having had 3 different Subaru dealers rebuild my OEM engines over the years, I would NEVER trust them to build one if I were paying for it. That may be correct but one needs to take into consideration the fact that you are still getting the soft OEM pistons. Don't forget that the OEM pistons are notorious for cracking the #4 ringlands. I don't understand why folks feel they need to buy a new hunk of metal. The block of a LGT is the same block as the STi motor. My guess is that it is a very variable issue. We have had some Epic/Koni setups where they aren't an issue, and other times they are. Also the wrapping using the tubing was not our idea. It was devised by someone else who had the squeak and that fixed it. Mike. One of your customers complained in this thread a few posts above this. The problem may be related to the combo of konis and epics. We can go around all day. But we never had an issue with any Eibachs and always have an issue with the epics. And the epics we've seen never had isolators or they were too small to cover the progressive section.
