  1. This is really disheartening to hear. I was going to order a new one from them soon. Now, I'm evaluating my options.
  2. If Shralp doesn't take the Prodrives, I would like to get them. What could I expect the shipping quote to be to 98499?
  3. I went for a night drive down in Eatonville and on some Nisqually forest roads. I also hit 200K miles on the chassis.
  4. This car looks familiar. Are you located in Portland?
  5. Just for everyone's information, there are differences between the PS4 and the PS4S that Michelin puts out. And both have different handling characteristics from one another. It's easy to use the two model names interchangeably, but it would be similar to calling an NSX Type R an NSX Type S, or vice versa.
  6. If your looking for less float, replace worn suspension components. To check if they are worn, carry out proper diagnosis for tie rods, ball joints, bushings, shocks, and springs. If your looking for quicker turn-in, less steering input, more connection with the road, and a slightly heavier steering —replace worn suspension components AND get a 2015+ STi rack. It's worth, what it's worth to you. It's a drop in unit and didn't require any modification to the car or rack (I have a non-turbo, so consider subframe differences). It's as hard as the videos showing you how to replace a steering rack are.
  7. It's normal. I've been told by my builder it's normal, and I have experienced the same thing for myself, twice now. It was only a couple oil changes ago that I stopped getting as heavy of a sparkle. My oil seems to be normal to the eye. Here is what my oil looked like after the first change of non-break-in oil (1,294mi on the oil pictured below): The new engine went in on June 10. This was my last oil-change log: Date: October 11, 2023 Chassis: 197,920mi Engine: 16,246mi 11th OCI: 2,052mi Oil Type Drained: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 (Full Synthetic) Filter Type: Tokyo Roki N3R1 14 Sampled* Every oil change, I have used a Tokyo Roki filter and have been consistent with oil manufacturer/type/weight. I have 7 of 11 oil changes sampled and off to Black Stone for analysis. Sent a few weeks ago, still waiting on data to get returned.
  8. John and I were supposed to volunteer. Work has ramped up the last week, and I had to go in today (it's still late Saturday for me night rn), so I couldn't make it out. I'm glad to hear that you made it out. Glad to see familiar cars out there. And I hope the car got as much love as mine was while throwing it around course. I cannot wait to hear what you've learned and freshened up on. I hope this will be the catalyst to plunge you into AutoX, or similar HPDE, that aren't as hard on the car as several, 20min long, open track-day sessions. It would be really fun to consistently spend a Saturday with one of y'all.
  9. I had the same thing happen to me a couple months ago. Only once, and I chalked it up to the same things.
  10. Now where where you a month ago when I bought brand new OEM Denso ballasts for $200? GLWS!
  11. Wow! I can smell the interior from here. This car looks phenomenal! And it's Obsidian Black Pearl, LETS GO!!!
  12. Exactly what @KZJonny said. I'd have loved to contribute, as I have 80K+ miles on my BC coils, but I don't have the DS series, and my spring rates are custom. So I cannot contribute an answer to the original post.
  13. Ah overkill, overschmill. I'd argue it's one of the better automotive extinguishers on the market —at least 2yrs ago it was.
  14. I wish someone told me about this then. I got rid of that setup years ago. Those look much better! Which bottle did you end up going with?

  16. Your local enough, so if you came out with @Pleides then I'm sure I'll see you around. I hope to be coming down to Oregon during a dry day, soon.
  17. YOU WERE AT WAGONFEST! I never see RPF1s in that color, let alone on a SWP LGT Wagon. Great looking ride. I was spread thin that afternoon, and subsequently didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted to talking with the group that came up from PDX.
  18. Just throwing more references out for you, in case you had come across some of my other posts on the topic. On at night. Off at night. On during the day. Funny, I need to grab some of the rubber stopper caps for the bleeder valves, and order a new set of bleeders for the fronts. My speed bleeder on the driver side is clogged, and I had no luck cleaning it.
  19. Bled the brakes late last night, with fresh ATE Type 200. They're back to healthy. Autocross this weekend!
  20. Man! This all sounds so wonderful. I cannot wait to hear your impressions of the STi rack when you do get it. I have very similar modifications made to include the STi trans mount, and Techna-Fit lines. I also have a spare RPF1 for five total RPF1s. Love it!

  22. @AW4BYT is his forum handle for anyone attempting to search. +1 to everything @SubOperator just said! I just finished wiring up my JDM headlights with one of his harnesses. Next projects are to wire up the leveling switch, and mirrors (also half wired).
  23. Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your purchase, and may you have many more happy miles to put on your new Outback. Def post some pics when you get it back. What color is your car?
