  1. Dude, I'm telling you, you've got the industrial look down! The aura reminds me of The Matrix, because for the colors and quality. Thanks for sharing!
  2. @Flatfour02 maybe these could help? https://legacypic.uk/transmission/ https://www.gearhack.com/myink/ViewPage.php?file=docs/Subaru Transmission Chart
  3. I have also been wondering where I could find satellite control blanks, for when I do get a DAMD wheel.
  4. Received @BridNasty old Prodrive mufflers. Well-packaged. Good condition. Immediately cleaned them up with some Meguiars 105 & 205 compounds, cut out some of the plastic under the rear bumper cover to make room for the tips, mounted and installed. They look wonderful, and sound great paired with my Infernofab UELs! I also took advantage of the shadows on the wall.
  5. I'm not sure if it's intentional, but your photos are art! Something about the poor quality refection, and the ambience. I think it's the BSM blending with the surrounding infrastructure too. Either way, I'm saving it for a future project. How did you go about getting carbon in the DAMD wheel? Where did you send it? Final costs including the wheel? How long did it take?
  6. @Pleides I'm assuming you're not jumping into any competitive motorsports (with more than just bragging rights) with this car in the next lifetime of a coilover. For the kind of driving/experience you're in search of, I find it difficult to believe BC's would not suffice. It doesn't even have to be the BR Series. It could be the DS Series if that has the features your looking for in a coilover. Also, consider spring rates. How much does your car weigh? What roads do you find yourself on the most? What spring rate will be suited best across the range of damping that the coilover will be providing? Is the cost difference between a KW and shock/spring combo worth the ability to adjust ride height? Let's trade cars when you come up next weekend. If we are really concerned that every cent is spent efficiently. I think I could save you $500+. I'm willing to bet that seat time in my car, vs whatever experience on all the suspension setups you've ever driven extensively in our chassis, will not reveal a $500+ difference in quality. I won't give any more details on it until after you've experienced it from the driver's seat, in order for you to enter with as little bias as possible. Worst case, you get seat time in a different car, and I walk away knowing that I do not understand the magnitude of just how much better a coilover can be. Best case, you've added another option to your list of choices. Just remember, @boxkita had BC's lol.
  7. Why are there gaps between the hockey stick and adjacent trim. All trim is USDM, yes?
  8. This is really disheartening to hear. I was going to order a new one from them soon. Now, I'm evaluating my options.
  9. If Shralp doesn't take the Prodrives, I would like to get them. What could I expect the shipping quote to be to 98499?
  10. I went for a night drive down in Eatonville and on some Nisqually forest roads. I also hit 200K miles on the chassis.
  11. This car looks familiar. Are you located in Portland?
  12. Just for everyone's information, there are differences between the PS4 and the PS4S that Michelin puts out. And both have different handling characteristics from one another. It's easy to use the two model names interchangeably, but it would be similar to calling an NSX Type R an NSX Type S, or vice versa.
  13. If your looking for less float, replace worn suspension components. To check if they are worn, carry out proper diagnosis for tie rods, ball joints, bushings, shocks, and springs. If your looking for quicker turn-in, less steering input, more connection with the road, and a slightly heavier steering —replace worn suspension components AND get a 2015+ STi rack. It's worth, what it's worth to you. It's a drop in unit and didn't require any modification to the car or rack (I have a non-turbo, so consider subframe differences). It's as hard as the videos showing you how to replace a steering rack are.
  14. It's normal. I've been told by my builder it's normal, and I have experienced the same thing for myself, twice now. It was only a couple oil changes ago that I stopped getting as heavy of a sparkle. My oil seems to be normal to the eye. Here is what my oil looked like after the first change of non-break-in oil (1,294mi on the oil pictured below): The new engine went in on June 10. This was my last oil-change log: Date: October 11, 2023 Chassis: 197,920mi Engine: 16,246mi 11th OCI: 2,052mi Oil Type Drained: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 (Full Synthetic) Filter Type: Tokyo Roki N3R1 14 Sampled* Every oil change, I have used a Tokyo Roki filter and have been consistent with oil manufacturer/type/weight. I have 7 of 11 oil changes sampled and off to Black Stone for analysis. Sent a few weeks ago, still waiting on data to get returned.
  15. John and I were supposed to volunteer. Work has ramped up the last week, and I had to go in today (it's still late Saturday for me night rn), so I couldn't make it out. I'm glad to hear that you made it out. Glad to see familiar cars out there. And I hope the car got as much love as mine was while throwing it around course. I cannot wait to hear what you've learned and freshened up on. I hope this will be the catalyst to plunge you into AutoX, or similar HPDE, that aren't as hard on the car as several, 20min long, open track-day sessions. It would be really fun to consistently spend a Saturday with one of y'all.
  16. I had the same thing happen to me a couple months ago. Only once, and I chalked it up to the same things.
  17. Now where where you a month ago when I bought brand new OEM Denso ballasts for $200? GLWS!
  18. Wow! I can smell the interior from here. This car looks phenomenal! And it's Obsidian Black Pearl, LETS GO!!!
  19. Exactly what @KZJonny said. I'd have loved to contribute, as I have 80K+ miles on my BC coils, but I don't have the DS series, and my spring rates are custom. So I cannot contribute an answer to the original post.
  20. Ah overkill, overschmill. I'd argue it's one of the better automotive extinguishers on the market —at least 2yrs ago it was.
  21. I wish someone told me about this then. I got rid of that setup years ago. Those look much better! Which bottle did you end up going with?
