  1. Would the new one work on the 5 speeds? I think the new wrx are 6 speeds if I remember correctly Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  2. I recently had to pull my transmission out because I blew third gear on my 5MT. I'm getting ready to put the trans back in and my throw out bearing sounds like a skateboard wheel and has a little rattle on it. It only has about 12k miles on it and it came with my spec stage 2 plus clutch so idk what the quality is like. I'm wondering if anyone knows about any good TOB options? I'm leaning towards just getting an oem subaru one unless there is a better aftermarket option. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  3. To my knowledge you should be able to wire anything into a tgv as long as one of the wires is a signal wire. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  4. I have some parts that I've been meaning to get rid of so I'm just going to make one big post. All parts are OBO and the buyer pays for shipping. 1. SOLD Grimmspeed Master Cylinder Brace Legacy GT '05- mid '07 Non-VDC (091028) $80 Brand new in the box, Never installed it because I mounted my flex-fuel computer on the firewall where this mounts and never felt like relocating it. 2. SOLD Megan Racing Catless Up-pipe $40 Wrapped with DEI titanium header wrap, no cracks. One of the studs broke in half when I removed it, a replacement stud shouldn't be too hard to find. Has around 12k miles on it. 3. 50-foot roll of Titan Exhaust Wrap $30 It came with my Tomei Header but I ended up using DEI Titanium instead. 4. SOLD Custom WRX fuel rail kit $80 It is a stock WRX fuel rail that is modified to run on an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and flex-fuel sensor. I used this to do a top feed conversion on my 05 outback but recently upgraded to a parallel setup. If you plan on running 1050cc or smaller injectors this flows just fine. All that is needed to make this work is a 3 port FPR and top feed TGV's. I also have the OEM fuel pressure regulator so it can be a direct bolt-in. If anyone is interested just PM me and I can give you more details. 5. SOLD Mishimoto Intercooler to Throttle Body Coupler $20 Has about 8k miles on it 6. 2 OMT 1" wheel spacers 5x100 $30 These have maybe 50 miles on them. I bought 4 spacers but 1" turned out to be too much for the front so I ended up going with 0.75" in the front. If you want perfect fitment with stock wheels on your outback or legacy(maybe) this will work for the rear. I will attach pictures in the next post
  5. Trailing arms have been acquired, thank you Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Are they aluminum like the spec b? Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  7. I'm looking for some spec b trailing arms if anyone has some laying around.
  8. Here is the link for the video on the alcantara shift boot and e brake boot: I think for my next carbon fiber project I may do a alternator cover. I'm going to make a mold for that one so I can make extras if anyone might want one Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  9. A little expensive, but I'll give those a shot. Thanks Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  10. I have a 2005 obxt and I tinted my headlights with film, but its not crazy dark or anything. I've been trying out different types of led headlights on the market and they all seem to be a little too dim. I have kinda goten used to it but when I'm on a really dark windy road it gets a bit sketchy, especially when I'm getting blinded with other people's high beams. I'm thinking of going the hid route, and I'm wondering if anyone has any good recommendations of what are some good products. I'm tired of buying stuff and having it be too dim. 11. Here is the link for the shifter bezel carbon fiber skinning and switch panel if anyone is interested: The video for the door cards will be up in a week. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  12. I dont think it would be a mess to peel off, all my experience with vinyl, they come off pretty clean. And yeah they are probably just covering their asses but in my unprofessional opinion the tackiness on the Dash would probably help with adhesion. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Youtube video of both will be up in a couple of weeks [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  14. So the suede vinyl wrap is a little tricky to work with, but the results turned out ok. This was a simple part to wrap and there are some creases in the tight spots. I think this could work for a dash with a little more practice, but it may need to be broken up into multiple pieces. I would guess it would be easier to get good results with the dash out, but at that point it would be better to flock it. Hopefully someone tries it, the material is fairly inexpensive so it may be worth a shot. Here is the link to the product I used: https://vvividshop.com/products/black-suede-velvet?_pos=1&_sid=427f8a131&_ss=r Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  15. I started working with some carbon fiber components just to learn how to work with the material. So far I've only done skinning so technically not carbon fiber parts but we are taking baby steps. I've made a switch panel where my cigarette lighter used to go and skined the shifter bezel in carbon fiber. On top of that I made a alcantara shift boot and e brake boot, and topped it off with a mishimoto shift nob, came out very nice imo. I also skined a piece of the door card which turned out pretty nice, ill post some pictures of everything. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  16. I just bought some vivvid suede vinyl wrap. I'm gonna use it to wrap the top of my door cards to match the flocked dash, and alcantara bits in my car. I'll update with pictures and a review. I suspect that it may be a good option for people who want to fix there dash but don't want to remove it to flock it. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  17. How much would you like for the climate unit? Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  18. Is the turbo the 3 inch I let version of the stock inlet? Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  19. I have not yet started on carbon fiber work. I finished my legacy gt brake swap which was alot of work since pretty much every flare nut rounded off but I'm glad it's done. I have also decided that I want to finish my exhaust before I start anything else because evidently the current exhaust is too loud. I have been attracting the attention of law enforcement and I want to go a little more stealth. I'm over the loud exhaust at this point. As far as widebody development goes I found this 3d scan of a 2005 Subaru Outback : https://www.3dcadbrowser.com/3d-model/subaru-outback-wagon-2005 I'm going to download this file and use fusion 360 to design my widebody kit, and I might get a new 3d printer and print the mold to lay my carbon fiber in so it's more consistent side to side then just hand sculpting it. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  20. I agree with your statement about widebody kits, im going to try and not go overboard with this kit Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  21. The madrig fenders are a similar idea to the style I'm going for, my current idea is to go for the overfender look and add a slight bit of aggressiveness to it. I do like how the madrig fenders are very subtle and look factory Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  22. I finished school up for the semester so now I have some time to get caught up on this thread and my car projects. Updates since last post: Whiteline Bump Steer Correction Kit video is here: I abandoned the arduino e85 project because eflexfuel technology sent me a flex fuel kit to test out which is soon much better than mixing fuel. Video for that is here: I've done some other stuff from then till now but I will update them as I go and as I edit and upload videos, because I film everything. At the moment I have a few new projects on my list: Legacy GT brake upgrade Grimmspeed master cylinder brace Skining my new intake in carbon fiber Making a carbon fiber alternator cover, and heat shield for the intake I'm also going to make a widebody mock up using poster board or something to see if I can settle on a design I like, and get a wheel sponsor on board. I've just been kinda worried that if I make my car too flashy I might increase the likelyhood of getting pulled over and state refed, but I really want to put some meats on it. So that being said my design is going to try and make it look like something that belongs on the car, but that is why I'm going to do a mock up to see what I like. Thank you to those who subscribed to this build thread I'm looking forward to keeping this up to date now that I have some more time. Sent from my SM-G770U1 using Tapatalk
  23. Here is what it looks like from the inside of the car with all the gauges in it. ignore the dog hair, I haven't cleaned it in a while lol. It is definitely one of my favorite things I have done to the car.
