  1. I'm pretty certain that most of the posts are back logged stuff and he posts already sold ones just to keep a record. Could be wrong. Last time he posted a hood scoop in this manner though a few days later he posted 4 more shortly after Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. How is peice meal paint correction like that? I've thought about it but with no real access to washing the vehicle, it seems like I should either do it all at once or just pay someone. Idk that the diy spray bays would be real happy with me clogging up the space to polish clay wax the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Same for learning cad on a $300 chromebook. Awfulwaffle had school, extra work demands, and then blew up an engine lol. However I think the main issue is that without a cad model the results were both a bit odd and also limited in usefulness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Went down to storage to grab my multi meter. Seems like the easiest method is to just get fuse taps. The fuse taps didn't all fit where I had originally planned so this is what I ended up with. 12v constant = fuse 29 (named f fog on the panel) 12v switched = fuse 26 (the window fuse named ig1) Illumination = fuse 16 (named Illumination) Ground = bolt to the left of the fuse box Load side on the 08 fuse panel is the lower prong so fuse taps need to go in with the wire pointing up, contrary to what I've read elsewhere. 5. Trying to install my oil pressure gauge and running into a lack of electronics knowledge. Running stri gauges to the cubby. I have an 08 and the clock doesn't have a violet wire. It's only a clock, not clock trip and temp so maybe that has something to do with it. Also where I need to wire in is pretty far from the clock harness just due to the gauge set up so I was thinking near the fuse box would be better. I've looked through the wiring diagrams but idk what I'm looking at. I need 12v, ignition, dimmer (headlights?), and ground but can't figure out wire colors under the. I have t taps and quick splices so I wasn't planning to use fuse taps. Bonus if someone can point to which diagram and explain how to read it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That's what's going in my non turbo cars going forward. Shit is CHEAP. And apparently pretty decent per bitog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Some measurements I took with a stock exhaust and then muffler deletes show a 3db increase at 70mph and 9db at WOT. So a perceived doubling of sound at WOT, give or take. From what people say, the volume goes up quite a bit once you get a down pipe but I haven't been able to measure that yet. Measurements inside the cabin at driver seat roughly. 8. I'm in ann arbor about to be gone for a few days but I've got the oem mufflers just sitting around. Not rusted through but not pretty either. You can have em if you come get em. Just the mufflers is all I have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It's pretty light but looks about 35%. Photos can be hard though. Might be lighter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I was in utah when I bought mine and found the west coast had really expensive obxt. My 08 with 150k was $8k in North Carolina. Minimal dings, good paint, no rust that I've found and well maintained until I spun the rod bearing.... That was two years ago I wanted 08-09 for my short arms and the telescoping wheel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That is easily the most complete list on this or any forum I've seen. Including the aluminum upper bits and important bushings and stuff while you're in there. Fantastic. Much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Norutah that makes sense. I'm planning to put on the legacy bc coils and supposedly that's a minimum of 2" below legacy. That's really my concern. Otherwise I was going to put off the spacers until I needed a new drive shaft. Which I'm pretty sure I don't need yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That's the one I found. Interesting that it's badged as a 3.0. Someone somewhere trying to pull some shenanigans. I feel like 8k is a lot for a regular outback but I guess location etc etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Used car prices have become crazy. I was looking into a 3.0 recently and would think that's decent price but the ad says it's a 2.5. Just looked at the pics. Woulda been nice if they included an engine bay shot. But hey if they'll sell a 3.0 at 2.5 prices.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just going to lower it with the legacy bc coils for now and hope I don't get any binding at max height with kart boy end links. You're the first to mention it and it's a worthy mention for this thread. Decided can't risk having something go wrong (always does) and being without a vehicle. Would appreciate the list though for future reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Looking at the parts and everything and parts.subaru.com has changed and opposed forces are missing some parts numbers. Did you pull all the parts from the donor car you had or did you buy them? Trying to confirm part numbers for the bolts for the front and rear crossmembers. They appear to be the same? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. AFAIK all hoods interchange except the 08-09 outback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. So as you went lower you needed shorter end links? I guess the sway bar raises up a half inch when you remove the spacers since it's attached to the subframes. So you're still using the whiteline adjustable ones then. Kinda crazy that we are 15 years in to figuring this out lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ugh maybe I'll just do it all at once. Probably the best thing to do anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I've not heard either but I can tell you this. McIntosh is an extremely high end audio company up there with B&W and such. It's what the real hoity toity people like. Harmon Kardon is more general consumer. Nothing wrong with them by any means but they are not meant to be in the same league. I'm sure the Subaru McIntosh system isn't anywhere near the quality of their $1k bookshelf speakers, but I'd be surprised if they weren't substantially better than anything your used to from factory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Damn. Not in utah anymore. Mine doesn't seem to have much play but is showing some weird wear marks on it that I think is from it smacking around. Had you already done the rear spacers? I'm assuming no chance of doing the sti linkage without doing this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. In theory those are unrelated just bad coincidence. AFAIK there is no reset to the window. Assuming the rest of the windows work from the same switch, my guess would be your window regulator died. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Let me use one side of the garage to do my coil overs while you pull and split the block lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I just try to constantly forget those exist. I've put as much aluminum as I can afford right now on the damn car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
