  1. Thanks for the heads-up. Following the links: Legacy (turbo models) - Production dates of July 15, 2019 – August 13, 2020 The status of this recall will display as “Open – Remedy Not Yet Available” until the special service tools and reprogramming (PAK) files are available to support this recall. Service, Parts, and Claim Instructions Subaru is in the process of acquiring the special service tools and reprogramming (PAK) files for this recall. Once they are available, additional information will be released and the WRK-21 Product Campaign Bulletin will be published on STIS with detailed service and claim instructions.
  2. I've never seen one around here. Wondering if they ship them to areas that "accept" them?
  3. Where can you find out the cars on the lot are repurchases and the reason?
  4. If only 5k on them people realize they aren't driving and can get most of their money back with used prices so high at the moment.
  5. North America version 2106DB released with a publication date of 11/5/2021. Map website: https://subaru-maps.com/#/updates
  6. That's where I'm at too. Finding a suitable replacement is difficult because even with its annoyances nothing else checks the boxes that the Touring XT does.
  7. To add to this my Legacy is the first car that I have problems finding in a parking lot. I forget what it looks like and Magnetite Gray Metallic just blends in too much. Dementia is not helping!
  8. Also tried the cheaper 15% ethanol 88 (E15). Gas mileage dropped about 20% so cost per mile went up.
  9. From manual: "Contact a SUBARU dealer when jacking up the vehicle using a garage jack." I haven't heard of any official response. Check out https://www.subaruoutback.org/threads/central-lift-points.517381/ Not directly related but there are the 4 jack points below the rocker panels. As with a lot of cars these days you need to use a jack pad/adapter.
  10. I think Subaru uses a new part number for a recalled part. Check papers. Also the 2.4 and 2.5 have different numbers. Wonder if it is only for the 2.5?
  11. For what it's worth right now Autotrader is showing 25 Touring XT and 87 Limited XT in the entire US.
  12. I think it is more that GM and Ford saw they could make more money with bigger vehicles. They seem to always be in financial trouble and sedans don't have the profit margins so they got cut. Then the advertising shifted to those vehicles and then it was follow the leader.
  13. Yes, sell the car. Right now used prices are high so you might not take much of a hit financially.
  14. It looks like a few minor tweaks for the US version from what I see on the web site. Aluminum wheels are now standard on all trims. No more steel wheels on base. Blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and reverse automatic braking now standard on Sport Navigation no longer offered on Sport Sunroof now standard on Sport And from 2020 to 2021: Steering responsive headlights on all trims Rear seat reminder system added Anything else?
  15. The auto stop-start seems to be different car to car. Then temperature and other things seem to affect it. Sometimes it's relatively smooth but other times the whole car shakes. It is concerning when the car lurches forward a bit fighting the brakes (noticeable when auto hold is turned on). After first experiencing it a friend in the passenger seat said "What the hell was that?" and after I explained she asked how could I live with it.
  16. When the 7th gen came out and most of last year there was very limited availability of the XT. Looking at sites sometimes there were less than 50 across the entire US. Now looking the situation is totally different. Doing a search shows "over 1000" nationwide. Of the 17 Legacys at the dealer near me 11 are XTs (5 Limited and 6 Touring). Is this because the 2.4L turbo is not selling or is Subaru now making just as many as the non-turbo?
  17. I think the idea is round is a toggle button, not a link to another menu.
  18. "they want your used car" is a trope that they really want to sell you a new car. I've had other car dealers/manufacturers send me the same thing over the years. The XT is great but can drive you crazy. Turbo, CVT, and gas pedal sometimes battle each other. See if you can get an overnight/weekend test drive first.
  19. Maybe this is your issue: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10188174-0001.pdf
  20. Display rebooted itself today. Definitely bugs me when it happens.
  21. That article confuses things more and is a bit out of date. Subaru has not yet stopped selling the Legacy/Liberty in Australia as are still advertising the 6th gen models on their web site (may be last of 2020 models). On the other hand they list the Outback as coming soon. At this point the 7th gen is only produced here in the US. It is concerning that Japan is not producing the 7th gen Legacy or even the 7th gen Outback. Maybe covid/economy is delaying things or are they giving up on the Outback as well? My guess is that if the Legacy sales numbers don't improve Subaru will continue to sell them as all of the tooling and support is there. But I would expect them to drop it and not have an 8th gen.
  22. In most weather I leave it set at 66 in auto. When below freezing out I have to change it to 72 or else it doesn't heat enough.
  23. I guess I can't read:redface: I have an older iPhone SE. Paired since November 2019. I've had a few odd issues but never re-paired.
