  1. So thinking the recall is for 2019 MY but the service department has leaway to point to it for chargeback?
  2. Still nothing showing out there when I enter my VIN that was made in November of 2019. https://www.subaru.com/vehicle-recalls.html/ Googling only comes up with recalls for 2019 models. Maybe this is one of those "hidden recalls."
  3. Yes, comes with template. See instructions to see if you are up for the challenge: https://techinfo.subaru.com/stis/doc/accInstallGuide/E721SAN000%20-%20Legacy%20Trunk%20Spoiler%20Installation%20Instructions.pdf
  4. That looks like the price to start negotiating as others are advertising right around the same price. If you have a trade-in those numbers are meaningless as what they "give" you for the old car will have greater influence on what you ultimately end up paying for the new one. The trade-in also reduces PA state tax so keep that in mind. There are 50 listed near you so you can ask others for a price: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/New+Cars/Navigation/Subaru/Legacy/Allentown+PA-18104?makeCodeList=SUB&searchRadius=50&modelCodeList=LEGACY&zip=18104&marketExtension=include&trimCodeList=LEGACY%7CLimited&featureCodes=1066&listingTypes=NEW&isNewSearch=true&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&numRecords=25&firstRecord=0
  5. I don't think they are too large to do over WiFi but too new. Until Subaru has lots of experience at the dealerships doing updates without issues they won't release it to the rest of us. It's one thing if a service tech bricks the car, it's quite another if you do it yourself. It may trigger a lemon law for some.
  6. What Subaru calls crossbars. There are bolt holes to attach under the trim strips. https://techinfo.subaru.com/stis/doc/accInstallGuide/SOA367035_Subaru_Legacy_Xbar_Fixed_B.PDF
  7. I bought one that is listed for the Outback but it fit fine. Nothing dramatic but feels a bit better with tight turns. https://shop.namelessperformance.com/strut-tower-brace-2020-outback-xt/
  8. I have an iPhone and a couple of times it wouldn't connect but worked next time with no intervention on my part.
  9. I can't drive with the thigh support extended. Feels like the seat bottom loses its support.
  10. For comfort the Legacy is pretty darn good and with the adaptive cruise control you can almost sleep during your commute. Remember that it is a bigger car than the VWs and the handling is nowhere close to them. Look at your priorities. Legacy for highway, VW for the twisties.
  11. Yes, I would buy again. There is simply nothing else out there with its combination of features. Yes, it has some annoyances but no show stoppers. Some hopefully will be fixed in software. An stiffer rear sway bar will help the handling but none available for now. For me the biggest is the non-linear response of the turbo/CVT combination. Sometimes it is awesome but all too often it doesn't do what I want/expect. It decides how much acceleration instead of me so gives a disconnected driving experience. In Canada I believe you can get the Premier (Touring) without the turbo. I would seriously consider going for that if I wasn't so power hungry.
  12. Paint protection package is worth maybe $100 as it saves you a couple of waxes. With 4k miles the engine is broken in but likely not properly. Every test drive would be flooring it to show off the turbo. You can ask them to throw in an extended warranty to make up for it.
  13. Look at page 534 - shows SAE 194 bulb. Also made sense to me to replace the door step/puddle lights and the dome light if not already done.
  14. Touring XT: MSRP+options+destination was $37944. Invoice $35166. I paid $35666 ($500 over invoice)+tax+title+fees. Got quote through email. I took the deal as I didn't want to to negotiate or wait for another car as the dealerships near me (9) seem to only have one XT between them at any given time. I wanted the Magnetite Gray Metallic and wasn't quick enough on the first one that popped up so jumped on this one. In the end I got more than expected for my trade-in so was happy even though it took 6+ hours for them to get the paperwork done. I don't see Subaru lease deals but do see 2.9% APR for the XT.
  15. Good to have comparisons. Video has a Legacy 2.5 (from engine pictures) but says it is the 2.4 turbo.
  16. The glove compartment light is yellowish and kind of dim but I have one. Steering wheel buttons and defrost switches light up as long as the headlights are on. If yours don't check with the dealer.
  17. With the glossy black seeing your reflection in the paint is great. Yours is probably the only Touring in the country without the mirror approach lights!
  18. I found the ignore button. At least one problem solved.
  19. Beyond your nonsense, the thing is I never noticed this big of a gap in other cars.
  20. I thought that Subaru was more eco conscious. Letting fuel vent to the air at every fill-up doesn't fit that image.
  21. Known issue that Subaru has old and new TPMS sensors. Old version was 315MHz while new is 433MHz. Here is list of what is uses old. Note STI/WRX have been left behind. Waiting for platform change, I guess.
  22. OK. Makes sense. I'm too impatient to wait that long.
  23. I've found that the nozzle on different gas pumps goes in low and the rubber doesn't seal. There is a big gap at the top. Does anyone else see this issue when refueling?
  24. Why not cancel the order, take a drive, and pick one up that's already on a dealer's lot? https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=531297186&zip=02101&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D02101%26listingTypes%3DNEW%26extColorsSimple%3DBLACK%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26marketExtension%3Doff%26modelCodeList%3DLEGACY%26makeCodeList%3DSUB%26searchRadius%3D25%26trimCodeList%3DLEGACY%257CTouring%2BXT&listingTypes=NEW&numRecords=25&firstRecord=0&modelCodeList=LEGACY&makeCodeList=SUB&searchRadius=25&makeCode1=SUB&modelCode1=LEGACY&clickType=listing shows a black touring in stock. Or your local dealer should be able to trade for it.
