  1. Try talking to parts counter directly (and sales staff) and they may give you a lower price/discount. Otherwise ordered from this site and seems to be good service and prices: https://subaruonlineparts.com/legacy-interior-accessories-c-240_716_717.html
  2. 34 is a great number. Since car reported it the number might not be very accurate. Keep fingers crossed that "touring" is its sweet spot. My old Honda V6 would report 35 mpg on easy trips but fill-ups would show closer to 30. I did a couple days around town last week and my Touring reported 16.8. Last fill-up calculated 20.8 with a couple remote start warm-ups in there. Now that I'm past the 1000 mile break in period and floor it once in a while I am a bit afraid what the next fill-up will show. 22.9 on last tank with mixed driving
  3. Fortunately or unfortunately it is a known issue. See https://www.subaruoutback.org/threads/sound-preference-constantly-resetting-to-factory-settings.517239/
  4. Congrats on your Abyss Blue Pearl. Any options you did or didn't specifically want and did you have any restrictions when you did the order? Just rechecked autotrader.com and two months later showing 101 XTs nationwide (63 Touring).
  5. I've rented several non-hybrid cars that have had the start/stop technology and they have been much smoother. My 2.4 Subaru is inconsistent as sometimes the whole car rocks when restarting. It's like there is too much fuel and the engine backfires. To make things smoother they need to better coordinate the starter speed, fuel, spark, and torque converter load. Whatever is going on there is certainly room for improvement. I'm hoping an ECU flash will improve things.
  6. I ponied up the $35 to look around - https://techinfo.subaru.com . There is a pdf body repair manual but the rest appears to be web pages only. You can print/download one chapter at a time. 18 chapters in the body/electrical alone.
  7. The "Rockford Fosgate Audio Upgrade Kit" accessory instructions show removing the front door panels - starting at step 23 - https://techinfo.subaru.com/stis/doc/accInstallGuide/H630SAN000_Rockford%20Audio%20Upgrade_2020%20Legacy_OBK_IxI_Ver%201.0-EN.pdf
  8. Not useless but you are right, I expected them turn on with opening the doors and they don't. They only come on with the dash lights and the dash lights aren't synced with the doors. I am used to the footwell lights being tied to the headlights so are on while driving (but also come on when opening the door with auto headlights). Since always on in the dark they really can only be for accent lighting and can't be too bright - other cars have red and blue showing it is just for looks. The ones I had were dim enough that sometimes I wasn't sure if they were working with just opening the door. For the price Subaru charges these should be tied to the door - full brightness when open then dash brightness when doors closed.
  9. This is pricey since it is a factory kit but was a fairly easy install. Kit was in a plastic bag with the two white LEDs, a wire harness, five zip ties, and two pieces of padding. Need to pop off four lower dash pieces (only two screws), run the wire, zip tie, plug things in and you are done. It seems to be brighter than other brands and is nice that it is tied into the dimmer switch.
  10. Can't help you on prices but measured my wheel and bolt pattern appears to be 5x114.3. Can't tell center bore size. Offset is 55 for factory rims according to Subaru parts site. Looks like 5th to 6th gen went from 5x100 to 5x114.3.
  11. At least the 2019 Ascent gives us a 2nd year engine/transmission combination. Teething issues should be over. Looking at ConsumerReports they do show issues with the Ascent's reliability by saying it is only average overall. Electronics showing only average, power equipment and body integrity above average (not best). Then owner reports of paint/trim. Nothing about drivetrain issues.
  12. Just thought of another option for your scenario: Secure jumper cables to the back of the folding rear seats. Use a bungee cord from the headrest like how the seat back protectors are installed. That way you don't have to open the trunk lid to get to them as well as keeping things out of the way.
  13. That's not something that I would lose any sleep over. In the old days with only a key the trunk latch would fail. The rear seats didn't fold so you had to remove them and then crawl through and unbolt the latch from the lid. Subaru's position is most likely that 3 years of roadside assistance is included with every vehicle. After that you can still call someone - all roadside emergency services have jumper cables. Note map lights are supposed to turn off automatically after 20 minutes.
  14. Picked up my Touring XT today! I didn't think the auto stop/start would be an issue as I've been in plenty of other cars (rentals) and quickly got used to it. In the Legacy it is noisier and more jarring than I remember in those other cars. Will give it some time to see if I can get used to it before turning it off each time I start the car.
  15. Nice mod/looks good. What I would like to know is how the handling is affected. Most of the early reviewers stated that Subaru's choice of tires wasn't good and stickier tires would help a lot. What is it like with your lower profile and better tires? I realize the geometry is changed and it wourld be hard to say what had more of an impact.
  16. I used autotrader.com and it is showing 100 XTs listed for the entire country. 58 of them are Touring. I don't think that it is demand as there are two near me that have been on the lots for a a few weeks. Neither are the color I want so wondering if it is worth it to get one out of state.
  17. https://www.torquenews.com/1084/all-new-2020-subaru-outback-and-legacy-recalled-loose-or-missing-brake-bolt Haven't heard of any other issues so hopefully this is not indicative of quality problems.
  18. Most of the bulbs are LEDs so Subaru's not publishing info. Saying "Consult your SUBARU dealer for replacement." The only exterior ones listed are tun signal (7444NA/WY21W front/rear) and backup (W16W). The 7444NA is dual element so might be half marker (running).
  19. Saw a black one on the lot Sunday (dealer was closed). Sticker listed "Standard Option: 31" and no packages, just a few options. What I'm confused about is that the window sticker listed Navigation as standard which the web site and elsewhere shows it as optional/part of a package. This was the 2.5, not the XT. What am I missing?
  20. From https://www.automotive-fleet.com/332105/subaru-moves-up-2019-my-build-out-dates : This is for fleets so how much earlier is the Legacy likely to appear on dealer lots?
  21. Any word on surprise colors? From the brochure I see examples of three current exterior colors: Crystal White Pearl, Abyss Blue Pearl, and Tungsten Metallic. Interior they only show Warm Ivory Leather and the new Tan Nappa Leather.
  22. The other pic was for a 2018 with a similar issue. So are panel gaps always that uneven with Subaru Legacys?
  23. Thanks for the info. Hopefully no cracked windshields on the 2020.
