pulsing/ vibration while turning?
VespaGTS replied to subaruleg's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
As irony would have it, this is what I found when I went to look at my PS pump today. Looks like I am doing a rebuild or buy one. Not to hijack the tread… Just laughing that the advice I just gave is biting my ass. -
pulsing/ vibration while turning?
VespaGTS replied to subaruleg's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
Is it making a whining noise that sounds like it’s coming from underneath the hood? It could possibly be your power steering, which is hydraulic, is sucking in air. There is a small O-ring on top of the power steering pump. It only costs a couple dollars to repair. I’m not saying that’s what it is but it’s possible. -
Hi everyone, I saw that Defi has released a single DIN triple gauge pack again. It has two temp gauges and a pressure gauge. I don't need a boost gauge since my phone tells me most of what I need to know via OBDLink. Upside is it tells me what I do need to know, Oil Temp, Water Temp, and Oil Pressure. Downside is that it is RHD focused and I am not sure how that looks from a LHD perspective? Maybe I could flip it? Anyway I am curious if anyone has this setup or a RHD in an LHD car and what that's like? Here is a link to the gauge pack on Negun. Also, its on sale for $422 which is way way less than the STi packs I have seen listed for $1500 if you can find one. https://www.nengun.com/defi/din-gauge-rhd

Hi everyone, I have a 2007 Legacy GT wagon 5EAT. I’ve seen a lot of options for steering wheels out there, but none of them seem to show 2007 as a viable year. I have the shifter controls on both sides of the wheel where the radio controls would be in an 08-09. I guess I could just get the wheel wrapped, but I would prefer to go with a DAMD wheel if possible? Will a steering wheel for a 2005–06 also work with my car or will the shifters mess with fit? I’m also looking at having the wheel wrapped, but the prices are all over the board and nobody is local to me. Thanks in advance!

Just my crappy 2 cents worth but when listing its best to clean up the parts. They sell faster that way. Its a good price anyway GLWS! -

Front bumper cover will not stay attached?
VespaGTS replied to VespaGTS's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
I will try the heat it method first. The idea of buying a whole new bumper cover and having it painted to match is an expense I’m not willing to accept. I already painted the entire car once. I should’ve replaced the bumper cover at that point, but I didn’t realize it was going to do this. I will give it a shot and report back here how it goes. -
Hi everyone, I am doing a rebuild due to low compression. Cylinder 4 is at 105psi. I have the cash to do the repair, but I am worried that if I spend $6500+ on a rebuild and the car gets totaled I am out the money plus the car. Is it possible to get a loan on the car and get GAP insurance to cover my potential loss in the future. I know what the car is worth on blue book, so its hard to sink $6500+ into a rebuild only to lose the car if an accident occurs. I will check with my credit union in the AM once they are open, I'm just curious if this has been done before?

fs - location: MD/PA line: Brembo brake calipers
VespaGTS replied to Lgt005's topic in Member Classifieds (2005 - 2009)
You need brake rotors and wheels that have the clearance for the calipers. Spacers can help with offset but you might need ARP studs to get it all together (also worth it). The upgrade is well worth it. We spend all this time making our cars fast without upgrading brakes, it’s kinda funny. -
