So I’m doing an auto to manual swap on my 07 legacy. Putting the wires back in I have some unused any idea where any of these belong? And there is no wire that goes to my parking brake my brake light is on. Only decided to do this since my transmission was going and I thought it would be fun. Not practical I know but it’s a project.

Valve body mod weird.

Another update: It does it while it’s warmed up. While it’s cold it shifts nice and firm. I have over 500 miles on it now still acting funky -

Here is a wot and part throttle video. The wot wasn’t as bad as usual it does it sometimes and it doesn’t sometimes. But you can really see the weird part throttle shift. That’s only 1st to 2nd -

Anyone have any idea why ClimbeD doesn’t use the orange spring in the transgo kit? I know he doesn’t drill the holes and use the orifice because he says it’s only need for too firm of a shift from 1st to 2nd. But I didn’t see anything explaining why no orange spring. -

I’m gonna says it’s either slipping or still learning. Driving around normally this is the best I can describe it. In sport # it tries to shift at 3k but when it tries to shift it revs up and down a few hundred rpms for a second or two and then shifts into second. No other gear has this problem tho. Wot they are all firm with the 1st to 2nd feeling like it stops pulling after 5k but does form shift into 2nd. Normal they are all semi firm. While 1st to 2nd has the problem I said above. And granny driving none are noticeable when they shift. 1st to 2nd still feels weird compared to the others tho. -

I didn’t reset if that’s what you’re asking but I did drive it around babying it for about 200 miles. It kind of feel likes it slipping but it doesn’t rev like it’s in neutral just stops pulling drops apart 300 rpm and then it shifts. It’s worse in part throttle 1st to 2nd is messy. While all the other gear shifts are firm -
So I have about 150-200 miles on my valve body mod already. Decided to give it some wot pulls. All I can say is wow. It shifts so fast and firm and I mean really firm. Only problem I’m having is 1st to 2nd it feels like it wants to shift into 2nd really starting at about 5500-6000 rpm but actually doesn’t shift until it hits 7k. It’s really weird to explain. Once it does shift it almost breaks the tires loose it wants to go sideways a little. Best way I can explain it is. From a dead stop floor the pedal climbs up to 5500 car stops pulling as hard like I slowed down, all the way up to 7000 then bang 2nd up to 7k bang 3rd up to 7k bang 4th and so on. Still learning? Install error? Or clutch packs slipping?

So today I finally tackled the valve body with the transgo kit. It honestly wasn’t that bad just really really messy. So breaking it in what did you guys do and for how long?

Hey guys. Need a little advice. I was installing my transmission cooler. Making sure I had it plumb the right way I started the car to see where the fluid was flowing and shut it off. Lost about a quart. After I installed it I ran to autozone to pick up some Idemitsu HP atf. Well I accidentally grabbed some idemitsu H plus. Didn’t notice it until after I finish adding it all in driving it around getting the temps up and making sure it was between low and full. So now that my 5EAT has a little bit of VTec in it what should I do? Is 1 quart going to damage things? Would a drain and fill be good enough if it will damage stuff. Or will I have to do a complete drain like hexmods has a guide for on here?

WTB: Lower Rad Support, Perrin turbo inlet, timing cover
Ninjacheezit replied to Ninjacheezit's topic in Want to buy
These right here https://www.worldoemparts.com/worldsuzukisubaruparts/oem-parts/subaru-radiator-assembly-lower-bracket-45124ag01a -
I’m looking to buy these three items. Maybe more if I can think of anything else. Perrin Black Turbo Inlet Timing cover front and back. Good condition no big cracks. Lower radiator mounts. No rust or very slightly rusted that won’t take long to fix up. Pm me if you got any of these you want to get rid of. I’m sure we can make a deal happen.

That’s it! Thanks a lot! Might run a small bead of silicone around the new ones also just to make it even more waterproof.
-
I also looked at the fuel / trunk parts diagram assuming that’s where it would be under but there was no picture of it.
-
Anyone know the part numbers for the two trunk vents. They are behind the trunk lining on the driver and passenger side. My car is leaking a good bit of water into there and I noticed the clips on them are broken off and it’s just wiggling. I really want to try to keep this car as rust free as I can. Even tho that is a big challenge in southwest PA.

07 spec b first mods minus motor work
Ninjacheezit replied to stikiller's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
How much power were you pushing on the 05 exactly that it couldn’t handle it? -
I'm probably going to flip the shields when it starts getting warmer out. I saw one of the guides on here and doesn't look too hard. Just taking it apart scares me since I don't want the break anything. So far the cut off doesn't seem to bother any drivers around here. People around here will flash their high beams at you if they don't like it. Even got a few flashes my way when I had the stock headlights with Slyvania ultras installed

Installed a set of JDM headlights on my car today. Followed one of the walk through on here and went nice and easy. The light output is crazy. Hope it isn't annoying to other drivers, but I can see far and the color output looks like daytime. Doesn't match my led fogs and parking light but its close. Can upload some after pics tomorrow.

Front mount Sti Manifold
Ninjacheezit replied to Ninjacheezit's topic in Fourth Generation Legacy (2005 - 2009)
So, ETS makes a FMIC kit for Legacy GT with a STI style turbo. I still have the factory plastic intake. I could always just pop that back on since the only reason I went STI intake was for the turbo and the bigger intercooler. But I probably won’t end up going front mount. The transmission is still unmodified and it is a 5eat. Still have to install the transgo kit. Maybe a cooler. I believe where my car is now is pushing the tranny. If if blows maybe I’ll go for one of the ipt built trannies install a dom xtr 1.5 and then go front mount. Or maybe this is where I leave my car alone and just finish some little touches since it is my DD and I want to keep it as long as possible. The modding bug is real lol
