  1. Blend door makes weird noises when bad clicking humming etc. Another problem I’ve had before is first starting up my car it did make a gurgling sound. This was from not being completely bled. Subarus can be a little pain to get all the air out if not done right.
  2. Hey guys. So on yahoo jp auctions a black headliner showed up. Starting bid $50 final price? $50 haha. Now all the black headliners are without sunroof. Any opinions on what to do? I rarely use my sunroof as it is but I think a headliner without a sunroof cutout and clearly a sunroof on my car would be weird. I tried wrapping my headliner in an oem like black fabric. But let’s just say both times I came out unpleased.
  3. Wouldn’t happen to have the jdm crash bar and other stuff needed to install would you?
  4. Off topic for the op but actually the sound system for mustang had a few amps one was lost when the head unit was changed. The rear amps might of worked out but might as well change it all
  5. I had an 03 mustang with a factory amp and special sound system. Can confirm I also had to go with a whole new amp to get it to work correctly after a head unit change. Can’t say for sure it’s the same with this. Also different radios put out different watts and certain speakers need a higher watt depending on its sensitivity. It could sound clear because it’s better more “clean” power but not as loud because it’s not getting enough power. No clue if any of that helps but just throwing in some knowledge I have.
  6. If anyone every needs to remove the headliner. The easiest way surprisingly is out the trunk. It’s a little tight and you’ll here some crunching but no damage happened. You have to take out the trunk side cloth pieces and the rear seat side cushions and you’ll have just enough room to side it in and out. I finished wrapping the headliner while I like the whole black interior I gotta say black headliner fabric is not really forgiving. If the base is not perfectly flat it’ll show. I didn’t do a bad job but it’s clearly not perfect either. Oh well maybe next time Lol
  7. Still in the process in changing over to some jdm black interior pieces and wrapping my headliner. Now does anyone have any tricks removing the oem headliner? This is on a sedan so out the hatch doesn’t work for me sadly. I saw a write up on here about pushing it towards the rear window putting it on the back area and twisting it out and bending slightly where needed. Either that was bad explanation or it just didn’t worn out the way it thought. I was using my headliner as a test subject. It was trashed and I found a nice one by me. So I figured I’d try removing mine to get the best approach or removing and installing the other one. This didn’t work I pretty much destroyed mine to get it out. So I’m still left in the dark on how to go about removing the other one.
  8. I have an 05 gt manual ecu if it’ll work for you.
  9. Ya I already did the jdm double din. I have an alpine ilx-w650 in mine. It is a lot better than stock even added an oem subwoofer for the added sound. It’s by no means big bass but I think it gets the job done nicely.
  10. I guess the point is atleast you made one lol. So I’m still in the process of swapping to my front brembos. I saw “used” centric blanks on Amazon. They were shipped and sold by Amazon. I was curious, they were only listed for $6 each. I messaged a sale representative and asked them some questions. He just told me if I don’t like what I see return them for a refund. Sounded like a plan to me. I just got them today. And wow I have to say that was probably the best deal I have ever got. One box wasn’t even open no paint chips, painted hat, brand new rotor. The other one had a few paint chips on the rotor hat. No scratches showing it was used, just like someone fitted it and realized it was the wrong rotor for them.
  11. Well this one is used so let’s hope it doesn’t keep getting louder lol Nah I don’t. Thinking back I probably should of did one.
  12. Hey guys, after my problems with my EL headers. I decided I wanted to try my luck with some other mods to stop being depressed they didn’t work lol. First thing I did was install some swift springs. I ordered them from MAPerformance. They were clearances to $200 usd. I originally had koni + stock springs. All I can say is wow. The springs lowered the car a good bit of course but I’m mostly surprised how it feels. It just feels like this is what the car should ride like. What has me the most surprised is the ride quality. I assumed bumps in the road would be a lot worse than the stock springs. Koni adjusted 1 turn from soft in the front and rear is perfect. The bumps Or pot holes in the road feel almost exactly how it did with the konis and stock springs. Next mod, found a used q300 exhaust for cheap. I decided the price was right and I was tried of my magnaflow exhaust having extremely uneven exhaust tips. So matter what I did the driver side tip would hang extremely low to the ground and the way it hung on the exhaust hangers just didn’t look right. (This could also be my fault maybe I bought the wring one but this was years ago I don’t remember the model number). Anyways the q300 was easy even to install. I really like that I could ditch the gs 3in dp to stock catback adapter. Since the magnaflow started at 2.5 to work with the oem dp. Getting everything lined up and even was extremely easy. Fitment perfect. It’s not as quiet as the magnaflow, but it’s not bad at all. Acceleration is more rumbley and deep. The best part is the magnaflow has drone around 2.8k and up. The q300 does not have this. Cruising at 70mph 3k rpm I can hold a conversation easily. If I didn’t find it cheap locally I probably wouldn’t of switched but I think it was well worth the money. I did do some other little stuff, like slowly buying some jdm upper black interior pieces, buying an sti map light/sunroof piece with the microphone and then removing the oem microphone and mounting my double din’s microphone hidden in there. Not sure if it’s on this website or another one but I read people trying to wire the sti microphone to work but it always ended terrible with a lot of static or not working. So I took the easy way and still looks oem since you don’t see a random microphone hanging out in the open.
  13. Pretty annoyed myself since one of the exhaust studs broke inside my head to. None of the studs went in hard. They threaded in by hand with no problem. So I’m assuming the headers just put to much pressure on the stud. Not sure but that’s all I can think of. But you live and you learn. Once I get this returned and refunded going to get a set of killerb.
  14. While they sound good and the second set fit pretty good didn’t come without problems. Had my car at the dyno today to get it dialed in. Idle and low load they were fine, but once those headers saw Decent load they would leak like crazy. They tried clamping it down as tight as possible. Repositioning the clamps and even using another clamp. Only option we didn’t try was welding it. I’m sorry but $1400+ for a set of headers and I’d have to drop another 150 for uninstall, weld and install at my dyno? I honestly don’t feel like I should after spending that much. Maybe I’m being picky or whatever. The headers themself look solid but I guess really the downfall is those slip fit joins.
  15. Ya. I drove it around a bit untuned yesterday just to hear it. About 3k+ is when it starts to sound completely different. It’s more steady sounding. All in all I like it. Now since they are “big tube” headers all that is left to do is see what it does to my tune. Won’t be disappointed if it’s slower on this turbo. Just a mod for the things to come. But still curious about these headers on my turbo.
  16. sorry didn't see this post. Not sure if they saw the error from my pictures or not. All they told me was they were giving me a return label, ship it out, and once it starts moving they will send me an other set. Got the other set and putting it on the ground you can tell a big difference. there was no gap like that. installing it like they said is a little snug. Have to unbolt the clamps and let the studs pull it on. But again there was no fighting it like the last pair. It was tight but not impossible with the clamps loose. I'm honestly surprised how it sounds. It sounds exactly the same at idle. I'll upload a video once I figure out how. lol
  17. I’m looking to finally change my upper interior to black. I have all the pillars already sourced. The only problem I’m having is the headliner. Does anyone know if there was a revision that came with a sunroof option? Or what did you guys whoever did the black interior swap do?
  18. Just finish taking the fabric off of some 2005 legacy gt front seats and put on my 2008 outback fabric on it. The 2005 seats were the last piece of finally getting my airbags to work after doing an 07 auto to 05 manual swap. Couldn’t give up my seats they are all black cloth while the 05 gt has that grey in the center of it. pic is of just one side done
  19. No. The clips are actually a part in the rear diff. If you look inside the diff you should see them all the way in there.
  20. Looks like ETS is going to make a new set for me and send it out. little more frustrating then it should of been but I can see their point trying to make sure it wasn't an install error.
