  2. No, 2 of the wheels were in the trunk and the other two sat on top of the folded down back seat. It looks to me like someone tried to pry that piece of trim off from the center. I haven't bothered to figure out how to remove it properly but will need to whenever they get my replacement.
  3. Thanks man. I assume they either pulled it for the fuel pump hard wiring or were trying to tuck it without removing. "I personally installed the hard wire kit and definitely didn't break anything" was the response I got. I'm just glad they agreed to make it right.
  4. It's running right again but the weather has prevented me from going over all the work with a fine toothed comb. Opened the back door to pull out my summer wheels/tires (had them put on the winter setup today before I drove home) and found this. Pics below. It was never mentioned previously. Ultimately it was an insane amount of money (stage 4 short block territory) and took entirely too long with crap customer service along the way. Had a long talk with them while I was there. Trim will be ordered from Subaru and replaced on their dime.
  5. Yes sir! They hold up fine. I keep fresh pads, rotors, and fluid. (And great tires) Never had an issue. That being said, I don't autocross but I do give her hell nearly every time I drive.
  6. Took the day off work and went to pick up my LGT. (Finally) Wow! Bumped up to 490whp and boy did I miss the boost! That VTA EWG is going to take some getting used to. Nice to have her home.
  7. That was the only one I thought MIGHT fit. There's not much room. Not really a necessary mod but once you've done everything else.....
  8. I just don't think we need football all year long and ultimately they cannot compete with the product the NFL puts on the field. I'd rather they televised the Lingerie Football League.
  9. More than a few beers will be required to make the XFL watchable.
  10. Depends on the TMIC. I haven't seen a master list of what strut bar will fit with what tmic. I'm am not sure any fit with the GrimmSpeed tmic.
  11. They are for helping the crowd up after running them over..... because mustang
  12. I understand what he said, I was asking if pre and post facelift are different. Good point about USDM vehicle though.
  13. Is the Pre-facelift shifter trim not the same as the post-facelift trim?
  14. They end up giving the car away or duping some poor guy that doesn't know any better.
  15. Do yourself (and the car) a favor and save up for a proper EJ255/257 rebuild.
  16. Its a unique person that not only likes this but also has and is willing to drop the coin required for the entire setup including operating system.
  17. That depends entirely upon where you live. There are plenty of shops around me (Louisville) that have never rebuilt even a stock Subaru, much less a proper build using aftermarket parts. I'd much rather have a machine shop and mechanic that isn't doing things for the first time and using my car as their guinea pig.
  18. Yeah punt that baby. Those added "while I'm in there" parts just put your build well over $12k. Might be different if you could do the work yourself. You won't get much out of the roller being an auto but every little bit helps.
  19. Looks like he was trying to hide behind her initially...
  20. You don't need a "spec B engine" any EJ255/257 will be the same as far as the long block goes. A used long block is going to cost you $2500 at the least. Have you considered buying a new short block, having your heads reconditioned at a machine shop? New short block can be had for $1700-$1800 IIRC.
  21. You won't find a shop that knows what they are doing with Subarus AND is reasonably priced. Expect to be north of 5k (realistacally closer to 10K) for having a shop do it. What really adds up are the "while I'm in there" costs. Unless the rest of the car is in pristine condition or it will cause your wife to divorce you, I'd cut my losses and get another vehicle.
  22. Disclaimer: USDM cars require the dual zone HVAC. You can spot the difference on the label above the left knob. Dual zone says "temp" and single zone says "fan". Otherwise the look very similar.
