I've yet to see a good off the shelf option, but admittedly i haven't looked in a couple months. Last time I looked people were having to modify the head unit. Adding active cooling or other things that are above my pay grade.

BCP x500+ and GrimmSpeed tmic, ....etc -
Mine makes a nifty sunglasses holder until I stop being lazy and install my STI guage pack. I have always wanted a head unit for running BTSSM, but haven't found a good one that runs on Android.

Front mount Sti Manifold

It has to be your setup. I'm guessing the vf48 is the limiting factor. I run 25.5 PSI with TMIC, pump gas and E85. If it isn't a limitation withing your setup, find a new tuner. To your original question, I'm betting you'll at minimum have to modify the piping for the STI FMIC kit. Your setup is fairly unique, so you may have to be the guinea pig. ETS does make a core for the LGT (if its any different than the STI core) you could order 08-14 STI piping and an LGT core. Although, going to a large FMIC with a factory size turbo may not be the best option. Could end up with a bit of lag for marginally cooler charge temps. -

STI intake manifold is aluminum and the TMIC and Turbo connect differently. I believe the plastic LGT intake manifold is proven to flow better and is more efficient thermally. -

Your tuner will not go above 19.5psi on a tmic or pump gas? What is his logic or are you misunderstanding him? Maybe he is referring to your specific setup? Otherwise that would be utter nonsense. You very well may have to have some custom piping made or at minimum have an STI kit altered to fit properly. -
Official Obsidian Black Thread Volume 2

Short answer... NO. You'd have to swap over fenders, bumper, headlight brackets, etc... -
I think you are wasting your money on the the warranty. The car doesn't have the OEM engine in it. There are 100 reasons they could (and probably would) deny any claim you filed. Warranties are really only good for stock vehicles and the manufacturers warranty is the only one worth a damn.

There's a lot of ambiguous lawyer speak in that contract. They will do their best to not pay claims and an investigator will be sent out prior to expensive repairs.

2005 LGT Wagon YNASB is happening
gkinslow replied to ashwinearl's topic in Engine Rebuild Threads (Engines Only)
In my experience the performance shops will take the easiest route possible to get your build finished. They'll also be around $135/hr in shop labor. I would have done the SB in this case but I can certainly understand trying to get a handle on the cost. The "while I'm in here" costs add up very quickly, as you've found out. -

Your thoughts that a Subaru performance shop would be in and out in 1-2 weeks has not been my experience. It sounds like you ended up in a good place that is allowing you to participate in the process and that is rare. Hopefully it all turns out exactly as you intended. -
I have a Madrig belt cover for the engine bay but I honestly think its too nice to install.

He has already made some parts for the garnish for other members. I don't know if that CF insert in the garnish the was for sale is Madrig's or not, but thats similar to what he had made. User Kalien32 has one along with a Madrig wagon spoiler/wing.

Welcome to my world. I have to clean nearly everything before I can work on it. -

Zero safety department along with zero oversight here. They didn't even have a lockout/tagout program before I started. Strictly CYA around here. -

I literally just used it to help loosen the bolts holding a butterfly valve to the bottom of a cement mixer. The condition of the valve tells you everything you need to know about how bad the bolts were. This is a small company, maybe 3 people in the building (out of 50) know what an MSDS sheet is! I do what I want, I just wouldn't mix it in a Gatorade bottle. -

Man mix up some acetone and atf in a spray bottle. 1:1 Best penetrating oil I've ever used. I keep a bottle mixed up at work and use it to help loosen fastners that have been buried in cement/concrete.
