Congrats and Welcome aboard! The CVT is different than a traditional automatic - initial acceleration is lethargic, even in the 3.6r. But good to have someone check it out to make sure all is working correctly.

Enjoy your Mini (BMW)! They're cute and fun, but a PITA for maintenance and repairs.

Wasn't there a post on here a while ago, where someone had a similar issue and it turned out to be a bad weld inside the muffler?

Notice they used momentum for the entire video. They never once stopped going up a hill, because the CVT will again limit this new batch of Subarus. It'd be super capable if it had a traditional auto trans.

Interesting. That must not be the case anymore as I saw Katskin leather in a 2019 Forester Sport, on the dealer showroom floor.

If it really bothers you, you can look at Katskin and replace the seat covers.

I've had this happen 3 times since new. I took a video of it, sent it to my friend (who's a Subie Tech) and he said he's not seen it before. Same thing... On the dash, Park will blink, Brake will be solid and Parking Brake light doesn't show that it's lit. I pull the brake switch and it engages slightly, like a fast sound. Push the brake button down and nothing. I have to restart the car and then push the brake button down and it works. - I parked my car in the garage, got out, and when I was opening the door to my house, I heard the Parking Brake engage on it's own... Stupid F'ing electronics...
