  1. Glad you figured the window thing out, I was thrown for a loop too, on my 2015... Although, there's at least one thread somewhere around here, that tells you to hold the window switch up for several seconds - to reset the window.
  2. If you keep the RPMs under 2,500 (or a little less), you won't feel those "shifts". I also drove the 2019 Forester, as well as the Ascent and both act the same around 2,000 RPMs, as mine and the Husband's 2018 Crosstrek.
  3. Looks nice!!! I do like that vs the matte black one we have. Do you have a link to that part?
  4. These cars aren't made to be fun. When I hurry my car, I hate it. I think "why the hell did I buy this slow POS". When I accept it for what it is, and drive it like it's intended, I enjoy my car. Excellent mileage, smooth ride, it's comfortable and has a good sound system... I also knew what I was doing, going from a 2016 Forester XT to this 2.5 Legacy. Sounds like someone bought the wrong vehicle, or didn't test drive it long enough
  5. Nothing spectacular - 12 month interval. I changed the oil, rotated the tires, replaced the cabin air filter and ordered a new engine air filter (yes it's early, but that's the way I am). Oil was remarkably clean for 1,400 miles and 6 months - of course why wouldn't it be?
  6. We have keyless and OEM remote start, and we don't do anything other than press the button on the exterior door handle to lock the car and go about our business. We then press the black remote start fob, remote confirms car has started, get to the car, open the door by just placing our hand behind the exterior door handle and the door opens. The car shuts off, no alarms. We get in, start it and go.
  7. Good find! It’ll be interesting to know if that’s a fix for it, when we’re out of warranty.
  8. Hearing complaints and being in the off-roading group, here in CO are two very different things. I had a 2016 FXT (HD CVT) that was lifted with BFG KO2s, etc and it wasn't as capable as the older non CVT rigs, (stock or modded) more heavily than mine. A 2015 Forester (non HD CVT) had the same issues with the same obstacles I did.
  9. I hadn't had my coffee, before typing... you're correct about the first part. I guess my point is the Subaru guys that have the non CVT trans don't have issues with climbing up and/or over obstacles, like the CVT'rs. The CVTS just can't hang with them and it's a fact - I know this first hand.
  10. Heavy Duty CVT or not, it still doesn't have a "low gear" to allow for low speed crawling over rough terrain. Try stopping in the middle of a really steep incline and then try to go forward - in most cases you can't. Out here in CO, there's plenty of CVT equipped Foresters, Outbacks and Crosstreks that can't manage situations like a traditional auto trans.
  11. Two inch kits can be found, and I know of someone with our model that's done it. He said he's had no issues whatsoever. I too, toy with the idea of lifting it, as I love the S60 CC look. There's a Facebook group for 6th Gen Legacy's, and he's on there. If you want to PM me your FB info, I should be able to add you.
  12. ^Mine was the bottom seat frame - it attaches to the bottom cushion and the floor.
  13. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Techs are being told to over fill, to help prevent oil lights and complaints.
  14. The 3rd gen is the best looking, hands down. Dig the new ride though.
