  1. Not to hijack a thread, but do you still have the BMW and Lexus?
  2. It’s not apples to apples, but Subaru did something similar with a 2009 SEMA build (Legacy GTk). I contacted the shop who built it (If I remember correctly) trying to get info on it. They might be helpful. I’ll see if I can find that contact info.
  3. Heard back from the dealer. They recommend a new cat (kind of assumed that, but wanted confirmation). That along with OEM O2 sensors was over $4k (I installed new ones a month ago). Told them no. So, now I am left with a cat replacement. The guy that did the clutch and timing belt did remove the cat to get to the water pump last July, and it has had only like 4k miles on it since (he used heat to remove). Is it worth trying to do myself? I found the one below and with current 20% off it's around $475. Anyone had experience with them? The Magnaflow cats are an option for just a bit more, but not sure if they are in stock. https://www.hottexhaust.com/2010-2012-subaru-legacy-gt-front-catalytic-converter-bolt-on-premium-grade/?srsltid=AfmBOooSdSEar89Mi1eZ8I_YpxSSuXhATpJ0_1ZupeqYRTbTRCoorZflgfs https://www.hottexhaust.com/magnaflow-21-276-subaru-legacy-2-5-turbo-front-direct-fit-oem-grade-catalytic-converter-federal-exc-ca/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAuNGuBhAkEiwAGId4atnEpKtKvtifnMq9lOr3i-Xi-nl0-pQ3RbNJ86iwl9s8cfQ36DunMhoC9KEQAvD_BwE
  4. Dumb question, would it be an option to go with the 3.6 and 5 speed auto? Those should be way easier to find. No manual, but parts should bolt right up.
  5. Dropped the GT off at the dealer to see if they can figure out what is causing the code. They almost would not look at it after I mentioned the Cobb tune. I know, I know....probably shouldn't have mentioned anything, but want it fixed right. They were ok after I told them I could return it to stock. The guy had to get the ok from his manager though. Thankfully I mentioned it to her in the initial call to setup the appointment. She didn't seem concerned.
  6. Thanks for the info. I ended up pulling the belly pan off and was able to reach it with a crows foot style O2 sensor wrench.
  7. I have had these exact bulbs for just over 4 years. They are awesome, and this is an awesome deal.* (*this is not a paid advertisement)
  8. You are a force to be reckoned with for 5th gen Legacy knowledge.
  9. Car runs perfectly fine. And even after the code pops up the only thing that happens is the cruise will not work and there are flashing lights on the dash. It does have more of an exhaust smell lately, but hopefully whatever the dealer finds will fix it. Still need to make that appointment....
  10. What is weird is this started happening a couple days after the Subaru dealer worked on it in December. There were also a couple loose bolts I found a couple weeks ago when I tore it down to fix a leak. Going to take Humble's advise and look and see if something is up with the wiring or plugs.
  11. So far I have replaced both O2 sensors and the fuel cap. I am driving out of town and back all this week, and the code has popped up on the way out and back each day (morning and evening). I stop and clear the code with the AP, then it doesn't come back on that drive. It's about a 40 min drive each way. Last week I drove it 2 1/2hrs and had no issues, then did about 20 min after getting gas. That made me think (hope) it was the fuel cap. I'll look over the wiring if I get a chance tonight.
  12. Rode around quite a bit in my buddy's 2023 WRX Limited over the weekend. Loved everything except two things. It didn't have a sunglass holder (minor gripe), and the ride was harsher than I expected. I keep my Koni's at 1/2 or full turn on the fronts and 0 on the rear and love the ride. I'm wondering if the WRX GT would ride a bit softer like mine since they are adjustable as well. That would make DDing it way better.
  13. Installed a new fuel cap (OEM). Lets hope that finally cures the P0420 code.
  14. Looks like I'll be hanging onto the GT a bit longer. Good thing I still like and enjoy it .
  15. FYI, if you email Subaru customer support and request it, they will send you a $500 loyalty coupon. We have done it a couple time so far.
  16. Ordered a new gas cap. Took the car on a 5 hour round trip yesterday and the P0420 code came back. But is was about 20 min after I put gas in at the halfway mark. Other than that it did great.
  17. If you ended up ordering a '24, then that means you get all the Eyesight stuff with a manual. Love it or hate it, it's nice to have a second set of eyes watching the road.
  18. A friend of mine in KC has a '23 Limited. They are pretty nice. I got to drive it around the block.
  19. I'm looking at getting a Ridgeline. I was dead set on a 20+ Outback XT and get a trailer. However, we have a 155lb Great Dane and he already rubs the headliner of our Forester and the Outback has 2" less headroom. The Ridgeline has a flat floor and tons of room with the back seat flipped up. I really didn't have any interest in one, but on our way home from the Outback test drive my wife convinced me to drive one. I was kinda irritated that I liked it. Looking at doing a lease on a 2023 RTL since they have some really good deals right now. I have to now decide if I want to trade in the GT or sell it outright. I would much rather sell it to someone who would appreciate it.
  20. I did some searching, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Does anyone know of a good way of removing the upstream O2 sensor? It is pretty tight in there. A regular 7/8" wrench fits, but there is barely any room to turn. Figured someone here had something bookmarked.
  21. The switch I received did not match the pictures in the listing.
