  1. Nothing done to the car, but checked up on the catalytic converter I have been waiting on for 2 months.
  2. There are a handful of things you can do to make the shifting crisper. Mine has been modified for years, but I do remember initially it was not the best.
  3. A buddy of mine has one just like it. They are nice. Also, FYI, Cobb is having a 10% off sale.....
  4. Just heard back from Hottexhaust.com. The cat was supposed to arrive on March 30. Now ETA is April 25th. That will make 2 months waiting. Only other two options I have found is Invidia, and OEM.
  5. Turbo to downpipe studs and nuts arrived today from Import Image Racing. Hopfully I will not need them.
  6. Swapped out the leaking vent hose on the passenger side. The old hose was hard as a rock. Also cleaned up the oil that had been running down the valve cover. Hopefully this stops the oil from burning on the exhaust.
  7. A few of the parts I ordered from Heuberger came in a couple days ago. Still waiting on the cat from hotexhaust.com. It should be shipping after the first of the month.
  8. I have not, but I do believe they are louder than my Nameless axleback.
  9. After reading through the thread, that is exactly what I was thinking. Mine was bad on the GT when I bought it. angelc1990, if you have dual zone climate control, does the auto work correctly? A bad sun sensor will affect that as well.
  10. Does anyone know if the WRX turbo stud will work instead of the GT stud? The GT ones are twice the cost ($15 vs $7). They have the same description (Turbocharger Stud. Stud-10X44X12) GT: 800910580 https://parts.bestbuysubaru.com/p/Subaru_2011_Legacy-GT-Limited-Sedan/Turbocharger-Stud-Stud-10X44X12/49286607/800910580.html WRX: 800910630 https://parts.bestbuysubaru.com/p/49286610/800910630.html https://www.rallysportdirect.com/products/800910630-subaru-j-pipe-downpipe-turbo-stud
  11. No problem. There was no way I was going to pay about $3k for a new one. As far as I could find online, only 2 factory style ones were available, Magnaflow and the house brand. The guy at Hot Exhaust said they come from the same factory. I don't work on exhaust much. Does anyone know if I need a donut gasket along with the flat gasket that heads out back? I'm getting a new OEM turbo to cat gasket for sure. Probably getting new studs just in case as well.
  12. Update on the pending sell. I couldn't in good conscious sell it knowing the cat was going to need to be replaced. I just placed an order for a new cat and will install before selling. Should be here in a month since the guy at Hot Exhaust said they only ordered two from the manufacturer (low volume).
  13. Wanted to give you guys a heads up that I'm going to be selling the GT. I would rather sell it as-is with all the mods to someone who would appreciate it, but if there is no interest I'll be stripping most off and trading it in. Then the take-offs will be posted in the for sell section. I'll be posting the car in the for sale section sometime this week. If there is any interest before then please contact me. I'll be completely transparent with you guys. This group is and has always been awesome.
  14. Got my car back today and it still had the factory tune for the drive home. The code never popped up. I'm wondering if the Stage 1 Cobb tune makes the system more sensitive to to cat?
  15. Love the enabling, but I'm not planning on keeping the car too much longer. I can't justify dumping that much into it just to sell it. On top of the cat, it will soon need the 120k service and a set of tires.
  16. Not to hijack a thread, but do you still have the BMW and Lexus?
  17. It’s not apples to apples, but Subaru did something similar with a 2009 SEMA build (Legacy GTk). I contacted the shop who built it (If I remember correctly) trying to get info on it. They might be helpful. I’ll see if I can find that contact info.
  18. Heard back from the dealer. They recommend a new cat (kind of assumed that, but wanted confirmation). That along with OEM O2 sensors was over $4k (I installed new ones a month ago). Told them no. So, now I am left with a cat replacement. The guy that did the clutch and timing belt did remove the cat to get to the water pump last July, and it has had only like 4k miles on it since (he used heat to remove). Is it worth trying to do myself? I found the one below and with current 20% off it's around $475. Anyone had experience with them? The Magnaflow cats are an option for just a bit more, but not sure if they are in stock. https://www.hottexhaust.com/2010-2012-subaru-legacy-gt-front-catalytic-converter-bolt-on-premium-grade/?srsltid=AfmBOooSdSEar89Mi1eZ8I_YpxSSuXhATpJ0_1ZupeqYRTbTRCoorZflgfs https://www.hottexhaust.com/magnaflow-21-276-subaru-legacy-2-5-turbo-front-direct-fit-oem-grade-catalytic-converter-federal-exc-ca/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAuNGuBhAkEiwAGId4atnEpKtKvtifnMq9lOr3i-Xi-nl0-pQ3RbNJ86iwl9s8cfQ36DunMhoC9KEQAvD_BwE
  19. Dumb question, would it be an option to go with the 3.6 and 5 speed auto? Those should be way easier to find. No manual, but parts should bolt right up.
  20. Dropped the GT off at the dealer to see if they can figure out what is causing the code. They almost would not look at it after I mentioned the Cobb tune. I know, I know....probably shouldn't have mentioned anything, but want it fixed right. They were ok after I told them I could return it to stock. The guy had to get the ok from his manager though. Thankfully I mentioned it to her in the initial call to setup the appointment. She didn't seem concerned.
  21. Thanks for the info. I ended up pulling the belly pan off and was able to reach it with a crows foot style O2 sensor wrench.
  22. I have had these exact bulbs for just over 4 years. They are awesome, and this is an awesome deal.* (*this is not a paid advertisement)
  23. You are a force to be reckoned with for 5th gen Legacy knowledge.
