  1. Anybody ever use BG products, I was looking around for some and bought this Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=121431944204&alt=web I thought I would share the great price.
  2. I was playing around and noticed that if I switch back and forth between Fahrenheit and Celsius on Rom raider at the same time with the car warmed up it reports 205f and 100c oil temps. That doesn't match my memory of middle school math. Wouldn't 100c = 212f? I know its not that much but still not extremely accurate. Fyi after spirited driving and extended idling I never went higher than 100c and 205f.
  3. I'm interested in your results with the headers. On raptors website it says my tuner was the guy to tune the car in the dyno, that's reassuring. Did you guys go with ceramic coated? I guess they aren't just bolt on headers since you get to keep the cats, so it has to be installed at a shop.
  4. What air filter are you using? I'm still using the takada filter but I know you guys have another one on there, I wonder if that would increase air flow.
  5. Looking at my logs the highest I've hit is 231 @ 1.6v No doubt, I was just saying that no 3.6r on this forum has had theirs tuned yet, not that they won't all be soon with the Race Rom coming out.
  6. I think one is driver side wideband sensor and the other is passenger wideband sensor but I might be wrong. There are a bunch of different af readings from different parts of the car. Here are just a few of the readings you can monitor. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/3b261e67c813d4f0bf30a4396a17dfd7.jpg
  7. Let me know what you find out, my car makes noises that seem weird all the time but Subarus seem to make weird noises. My car runs great and doesn't miss a beat. Plus I know I don't miss or knock either.
  8. It's not completely done, I'm waiting on the car kit for power and a better dash mount and I need to run the wires a little cleaner I might even put it in a different place but I think it will work. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/2e9f26365d92d12996a8a9e3afa26d88.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/bab379d8d4a09503946ba16355e24a03.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/5fa4c3294e69f375a1bfb4ca666049db.jpg
  9. Ill do a full write up. I have 2 tunes, daily driver and race Rom, both feel different in ways.
  10. XRT was able to do a indirect trans tune, I haven't seen anyone else on here have that done yet. Just something to consider. If you get a borla exhaust I could send you my tune to give you an idea how it runs. There is one for sale in the for sale threads.
  11. XRT did a great job on mine. Now that he did mine he has a good starting point for other 3.6rs. What mods have you done?
  12. Yea it's a little out dated, I just finished the tune. Im not curious for myself as much as others. If I knew before I bought the tactrix cable that I could have bought a $8 cable that did the same thing I would have saved myself $170, I figure this is all part of paving the way for others. All of us experiment so that other people don't have to, that's the beauty of these forums.
  13. I have a 2011 3.6r and I am tuned using ecuflash and Rom raider to log using a tactrix cable, im just curious if there is a cheaper way that might help other people in the future.
  14. I just got a vagcom cable for a friend at work, when I go back next month ill borrow his cable and get a confirmation but until then here is a thread I found. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1914025
  15. I've seen people using the vagcom cable with romraider on the forums but I didn't see any 3.6r doing it. It defiantly works with romraider and Subarus though.
  16. I've read that a vagcom cable will work with romraider. You could try that if you wanted to know which readings are correct with torque. How much is a ecutek cable?
  17. I think I misunderstand the ecutek tune, do you actually get physical hardware that connects to your car to keep? I thought it was a tune using the module but you didn't keep it. Does the module give you live readings like the cobb access port? If you can log using the ecutek you should connect your laptop and your phone via a obd splitter and compare results to see what is accurate and what is not to narrow down a good list for other torque users.
  18. I've been told that maf readings Will be very close to actual hp numbers. Rom raider seems to be very accurate in readings, torque not so much. Even the greddy informeter I just got has some readings that aren't accurate. You could get a cheap vagcom cable on eBay and log with a laptop and romraider. I could send you a log to compare with and see which torque readings are probably accurate and which are not if your interested.
