  1. make sure you have the . in it, the other group i believe is pretty much dead
  2. PM Grekt he should have one in your colour
  3. Finally have some real nice weather here where working on the car is a pleasure! A little mod installed and everyone should know who made this beautiful piece! Now it's on the car, I can appreciate the fitment and just the care taken in getting the profile just right!
  4. Did an oil change on the B last night and cleaned the engine bay up a little bit, vacuumed out the trunk. It was a bit dirty from carrying new hot pepper plants. I picked up my wheels from a friend who has a tire machine in his garage so I can get rid of the previous owners curb rash and clean them up. This morning she got a wash on the way into the office and I did 2nd and 3rd gear pulls for Dave over @cryotune. It was delayed a bit because of an overboost issue, I finally found that the 2 lines from the turbo to the EBCS were pinched under the intake manifold. Sitting pretty at the office
  5. For sale is a 5spd leather shift and ebrake boot from my parts car, both in great shape and is black with a light grey/whiteish stitching. There is a little mark on the side of the ebrake boot that looks like it'll come off no problem, it doesn't show because how low it is anyways. Lookin at $SOLD usd + shipping
  6. Thanks for the replies! Speaking of battery terminals, they are good and tight. I did have an issue with one a while back but I got it solved. Like I mentioned it really seems like it's in the main fuse box. I have noticed on other friends cars, yes battery terminal posts do seem to be getting smaller and there has been multiple instances I've seen with either a screw or there is a washer bent around the terminal. I'll try and stop into my dealership this morning (if I can get in the door) and see what I can get to replace the terminals. The trick to use a Toyota one is a great idea! I may even see what I can get for a car audio one to be able to run my amp in this car like I did my last, I love how they are bigger and you can add accessories easily. Rhino, thanks for that list! If it comes down to changing any of the cables, I'll do all like you did and just change them all to be sure. Fingers crossed I can get this solved, it's finally warming up here so it'll make me want to work on the car again. Yesterday I woke up to more snow...
  7. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and resolved it. I searched and couldn't find any account though. So on the occasion on my 08 Spec B I go to turn the key after opening the car everything goes completely dead. No power to absolutely anything. The first time I opened the fuse box under the hood to check fuses and relays and I hear the car "chirp" back on, I can use the remote right away and everything is completely reset, it takes a few tries to start but she cranks right over right away. I reset my radio presets and fix up the clock in the navi screen and go. 2 or 3 weeks later fast forward to last night, it does the same thing. I open the hood and hit the side of the fuse box open the cover and close it again and it fixes the issue. No change since then. It runs absolutely fine! There's a ton of connections in there and somewhere under the box the issue lies... If anyone has had this before and can point me in the right direction before I go shooting in the dark it would be very much appreciated!
  8. 3:17am... I won't say it. I'm with Ty 100% on this, he built my VF46 gave it one of his famous black and blue paint jobs, and created a monster! The beautiful turbine jet engine whistle is VERY addicitive.
  9. Doooo you know the size foo? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. Gave the Spec B a good cleaning on Saturday, of course as soon as I was done the rain that wasn't in the forecast decided to show up. At least the first part of my polishing was done.
  11. With Covid I can't even get into them these days. They rarely have metric anything around here. A few standard sizes but nothing slightly different. The bolts plus in my town matched them as best I can, they are 2mm longer so when I get the calipers back from the powdercoater lets hope they fit.
  12. Just got back from dropping off my brembos for powdercoating, can't wait to see the results!
  13. You actually gave me a great idea. If I can still get in the place Bolts Plus is in my city and I might be able to take down the one I had to forcefully get out and get it matched, the head just needs to be a cap screw. If they have them stainless and with a hex head I'll be golden.
  14. Well yes, but needing a screw, or 4 or 8. I spoke with the dealer today and this damn screw only comes with the whole brembo caliper! If anyone knows where to get the screws for the little holder bracket beside to pistons on a brembo caliper I'm all ears! The dealer referred me to a performance shop this morning and they had no idea and referred me to the dealership that I spoke to first. It's circled in this picture, it has a torx screw head fitting on it.
  15. Where is this "massachsetts" I'm in Canada and have never heard of this place! I'm only kidding but Max has his go to guy, who sounds to be great
  16. Had a long day today, started the big detail of the spec b. Wash, claybar, iron decontamination of paint and polishing with my DA and a cutting solution. When I was done the polishing of course it just started to rain and with the parts car in the garage I was forced to watch it get wet. The work today was worth it! The water beaded off beautifully and didn't sit on the paint like it did earlier in the week. Next will be the waxing stage but with what happened today with the rain I wasn't able to get to it. So far about 5 hours in. I haven't got to the interior yet for the spring cleaning and hopefully a few carbon pieces go on tomorrow. This evening was spent with tysparks81 pulling the remainder of the parts car apart for what was needed.
  17. If you pull the cover around the shift lever you can get your hand in there and feed through that, it's not bad just tedious
  18. definitive, yes just make sure it is also heated so you have the right wiring in it
  19. Sand and prime it properly and you wont have a problem
  20. Did some more pulling apart of the parts car today, more stuff sold too! I had a bit of a war from the previous owner being an idiot. Most wheel studs were cross threaded, I snapped 4 wheel studs and one was so bad I had to drill it out and break the stud off. No damage to the rim, but it took forever to do! I threw on the wheels that I picked up for $60 and cleaned up the 18" Enkei's that came on the car, and I'll probably keep them they have decent winters. I gave them a solid cleaning and they are starting to look pretty good. I finally got around to cleaning the wheels on the spec b properly, they haven't been properly cleaned since I got the car and I'm sure the previous owner didn't touch them in years. Tysparks81 gave me a lip from his old legacy so I cleaned that up and refinished it the other week and I installed it today. the car is finally looking more complete!
