  1. I live with it for now. I have a laundry list of "nice to fix" items such as belt trim, stupid dash crack, right rear passenger window (scratched and I want tint). I tried cycling through to foot air and I didn't feel anything th other day, but it did blow air when in combined foot and face mode. It very well may be ready for replacement of the actuator.

  3. I haven't fixed it. It's an $80 part and it's functioning correctly, just making noise. I believe it is accessible by removing the passenger glovebox and going into the side.
  4. Chiming in... Gold on ABP is awesome. I highly recommend.
  5. They probably caught on after he ordered and he'll find it canceled XD
  6. I am now doing the outer boot of my left front axle this weekend... Decided against whole axle swap since I won't need to remove the axle from the car and I'm changing that wheel bearing as well (rusted studs...). My kit cost $13 from rockauto.com - Beck Arnley 1032941.
  7. GI... Any Nikon shooters out there interested in a) Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 and b) Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 ? I went full frame a few months ago and I've not getting much use out of the 11-16 (even in DX crop mode) and the 150-500 just doesn't get the use I thought it would have. Pricing: Based on an average of going-rates Tokina - $550; Sigma - $750. Will obviously take photos and post later. It's a tough decision on the Tokina (my favorite lens on DX). Both lenses in great working order, some slight blemishes from use. Also note: Tokina requires a screw-drive AF body (they just released a new version with internal AF @ $740). Sigma has an internal focus. I have all boxes and original paperwork. Will throw in nice lens cap (Tamron) with Sigma. Open to cash + trades as well. I have a D800, so full frame, high-resolving power lenses are required.
  8. I assume the car is on the ground? I used a torque wrench on the inner and one of those special kobalt/craftsman socket sets with the external thru-drive to tighten the nut against the torque wrench. I only had issue on the fronts, go figure. Have you tried just torquing the nut without holding the center in place? I didn't hold the rear in place while torquing mine.

  10. That's exactly what it is. The actuator as noted in the other threads. It doesn't make any abnormal noises or malfunction. It only makes noise when shut off.

  12. LOL this is the third thread on this subject. It is the air vent actuator.
  13. Once I get my wheels back (disadvantage of the tire hookup), I think I'll head out that way for a Shenandoah drive/photo fun time. Most likely end of the month. I'll take that engine cover off of your hand while I'm there
  14. This time Saturday I should be rocking goldies on ABP! Tire Shop hookup (awesome deal mounted & balanced) FTW!
  15. Good. Because I don't agree with his sentiment on this one! I think it's a nice contrast and looks great
  16. Alright Internet, what say you? Gold or paint? My roommate doesn't like it very much, but I think it could work with the black sidewalls of the tire added in.
  17. Also, I'm ogling my new gold bbs wheels courtesy of BarManBean. His wagon looks the awesome with the new silvers!
  18. Join the mid Atlantic forum Shenandoah meet thread and ill update for the next cruise!
  19. Assuming its just like that, I'll have to see when I can do a skyline drive photo shoot again! I was thinking a couple weeks. Going to try and get my brother to come down. Maybe you could join us!
  20. Looks like I need to make a detour when I go back to Shenandoah. Do you have any pics? I plan on trimming it completely from the area where a TMIC would fit, so any imperfections up there are inconsequential.
  21. At least you get a 6MT Are you selling the 5MT locally or trading it in to a dealer?
