  1. I wouldn't think WRX/STi cams would be keyed to drive the oil scavenge pump for the turbo...
  2. Ahh, the S2000... a car with the strut towers 2ft away from the firewall, a car that actually could benefit from a strut tower bar Doesn't really look like a master cylinder brace, just a cover on that S2000...
  3. And that's waaaay more research and knowledge than your average BBK shopper already Sadly, most just want something that looks cool to fill up the extra space because they just had to get 19-20" wheels... But back to your research, does the number/size of the pistons in the caliper come into the equation at all? Or is it all pretty much determined by the size of the rotor? As far as rotor size is concerned, the Brembos aren't much bigger than our stock GT setup (which is why I really have a hard time calling Brembos a "BBK") So they really don't have much more stopping power, but they can handle repeated applications and heat much better in a track environment.
  4. TireRack probably isn't the best place to research a BBK Since the STi Brembos bolt right up (with or without an adapter in the rear) it's pretty safe to say that you can make just about any BBK for the WRX fit.
  5. I'd be careful not to introduce too much turbulence right before the MAF sensor, it could skew the readings.
  6. Who said anything about welding? Looks like there was a slot that needed to be widened, but that could be done with simple hand tools since it's only plastic.
  7. what about not-so-normal driving? does she growl when you put the spurs to her?
  8. He said the one he's found is the STi bar which is thicker, I don't see why he can't jump on it if that's what he's looking for...
  9. These are kinda old, but figured this would be a good place for them... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/4331905900_a398e9fc58_b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/4334221766_acdb4a23d7_b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/4333576961_418b1fa5b1_b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/4333577243_f272bf3ed5_b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/4587621917_571673325e_b.jpg
  10. I think you were looking at photos of the non-5th gen shifter. All the catalog photos of our shifter don't have any cables that I've seen. Either way, it doesn't come with new cables, you just re-use the stock ones. You placed an order on a holiday less than a week ago. Most car parts places aren't like Amazon with a giant warehouse and everything in stock. The more you deal with buying car parts, the more you'll understand that patience is needed. A dealership would have the rotors and pads in stock probably (assuming stock), but the SPT stuff is probably special order.
  11. On a regular Sunday I wouldn't count on somebody being there to answer the phone, let alone on a holiday weekend.
  12. But as a 2010 owner, there's no link for me. They only have tabs for 2013, 2012, and 2011. While I know that the 2011 and 2012 parts will work, a lot of people probably don't. But if I click on another year's accessory link, then it'll let me choose a different vehicle. There's the convoluted part.
  13. lol, yes! Heck, I've already got the short shifter, I was just looking it up for sw686blue's benefit. If you just enter the part number you get screwed on the price. Here's both in my cart at the same time. Going through accessories is a convoluted process on that site for sure. If you put in your year/make/model on the front page it just takes you to parts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/subarupartswarehouse2.jpg
  14. if I go to that link it works, if I just go to subarupartswarehouse.com and search the part number I get this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/subarupartswarehouse.jpg
  15. Do you have to go through the checkout process before it shows that price? When I add the shifter to my cart I'm getting the $420 price, not $346
  16. I see sharing flickr photos still doesn't work on this forum, bummer
  17. If they make a set of those rotors that'll fit the front of a 2004 STi, then you're golden.
  18. I would think any plating on the surface of the rotor would eventually wear off. Good luck with the search.
  19. I don't like that they're slotted, but they are dual drilled http://www.rallysportdirect.com/DBA-42656S-10-GRP-4000-Series-T-Slot-Slotted-Rotors-Rear http://www.rallysportdirect.com/DBA-4654S-10-G-4000-Series-T-Slot-Slotted-Rotors-Front
