If the trans is good that's worth it. But where is the R180 Diff? You would need at least a driveshaft...not sure about axles with that diff.
-
Have any AVCS lines lying around?
-
$1400 in labor isn't bad at all considering the work involved.
IIRC, the swap at andrewtech for me was $900 plus fluids / shop fees. So $1400 is a bit high based on that...

Surprised you bent a rod over breaking a piston.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This. You actually bent a rod? Pretty rare failure compared to breaking a ringland or spinning a bearing.
-
Yup. You can also PM me your email address and I'm happy to supply the instructions / designs.

Anyone have any idea what it would really take to produce these? I ask because I would possible fund the production if people are interested and we can get them done in a quality fashion. Would need a mold to start with tho!

Partsouq just got restocked with both sedan and wagon visors. I ordered a set of each a couple days ago and they are shipping out today.
Love it.

Nm, I got it... have to get the sticker next time I guess
Thanks boss!!
Sorry, I forgot the sticker, lol--work has been kickin' my ass lately.

Trigger pulled... thanks for producing these and for the effort gone in to making them.
All's you need is as fancy sticker to add that +5whsp and you'll be golden!!!!
I'll throw a sticker in for ya

I stand corrected. I did see that after I posted. I'm just not sure where to post for something like a roof rack. IMO we need a 'miscellaneous' FS forum or something like that from an item that isn't model specific.
You mean like here: http://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/member-classifieds-non-car-88.html
Or maybe craigslist? Or just post it in each model forum that you believe fitment applies?
-
Doesnt matter now anyways. Mods keep deleting my FS posts and wont tell me why.
False. It states exactly why--post deleted because you don't have an actual FS thread. Create a FS thread, post link to it here in the local section. Include pictures in your FS thread that are attached to the site.

Maybe I didn't clarify enough. I am looking for a good deal on lower control arms considering a bunch of individuals picked up some Mevotechs on Ebay and other sources for way the hell under retail. Many of you have extras. I would like to purchase a pair of those extras. I will just install the Whiteline bushings on my stock arms if I have to pay over $100 an arm. Thank you in advance. By the way, does anyone know of a cheap replacement axle for an 05 LGT that actually works and doesn't cause vibration? Can't seem to find a clear answer anywhere. Thanks again.
Good luck in your search for cheap, but well made, parts.

Just bought the BP mod for my 2010 XT. Thanks
Should go out tomorrow!

Looking at the wiring, I would also guess that your electrical box might be a bit of a mess unless it has been recently updated.
-
I don't think old knob-and-tube is considered to be very safe anymore. not sure tho.
-
My house has some "janky but probably OK" wiring. It drives me nuts though. Most wiring that I've touched so far (bathroom circuit, attic lighting / fan, garage circuit) I've just ended up ripping everything out back to the cleanest available starting point and rewiring everything. Spend a bit more on wiring, but it seriously cleans stuff up. There's really no reason for messy / janky / lazy wiring.

Much easier to have a double stud.
Not realistic to have double studs all the time (or basically ever unless you are building your own wall) so just get better / used to dealing with single studs.

'05 pans are different. Not sure about '06??
here is KB's post from the other place. Pics show the differences. I purchased a '05 for my rebuild, then found out it wont work with the KB pickup...
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=27383408&postcount=36
If you purchased an EJ25 oil pan, it will work with an EJ25 oil pickup (killerB) but NOT with their EJ20 pickup.
-
Regarding oil pans, the KB pickup will work with any 2.5L oil pan. The '06+ STi pans are supposed to have "better" internal baffling.
KillerB makes both an EJ20 and an EJ25 pickup tube. For our 2.5L motors you want the EJ25 pick up, and fitment directly from KillerB's site is:
Fits ALL turbo EJ20 Motors (with EJ25 Pan)
Fits ALL turbo EJ25 Motors with OEM oil pans (and our performance oil pan too!)
^^so any EJ25 oil pan will do the trick. But yeah, get an '06+ STi pan if you stick with OEM.

Maybe somebody can help me out here. I just found a vaccum leak coming from a sensor im not familiar with.
Sensor is black and bolted to the top rear passenger head, under the turbo kinda. What is this sensor and how does it seal? Bubbles like crazy with soap/pressure test.
In case you need it, that's a cam sensor and the part number is 22056AA140. $79 from heuberger (plus shipping I'd imagine). I have the same issue although it's been fairly minor. I'm still searching for the right oring...
-
Turns out its a camshaft sensor. I went ahead and pulled it out and it has an oring to seal.
I guess im buying a $100 oring now.
I'm looking at the same damn oring, trying to figure out what size to replace it with. Annoying.
-
Just get a set from Amazon / ebay / harbor freight. Orings are orings, if it fits it works.
Unless in interacts with oil or fuel, in which case you want specific types of orings.

What an informative and entertaining read. I pretty much got nothing done at work today, haha.
I bought a beautiful '06 LGT spec.B a few months ago, and this will be the first mod done to the car. I have plans to install a catless UP and get a pro-tune in the very near future. This mod will give me peace of mind. My order has been placed.
Thanks, Brett. Got your order and your kit will go out shortly
