  1. Some of the codes appear to be related to the replacement of the ABS module. IIrc you did that. But otherwise, its all comm errors and power failures for the most part. Which are indicative of wiring/grounds or a failed component (BIU?) This one probably wont get solved via the interweb. Any signs of rodent? C0045 - I believe this to be specifically the left rear wheel sensor. C0052 - Motor and motor relay C0041 - Parameter Selection Error B1101 - Battery/Power Supply malfunction B1102 - Battery/Power Supply back up malfunction B1103 - Ignition power failure B1104 - ACC power failure U1201 - Can HS counter abnormal U1202 - CAN HS bus off U1221 - CAN HS - ECM no receive data U1223 - CAN HS - VDC/ABS no receive data U1301 - CAN LS counter abnormal B1500 - Keyless UART comm fail
  2. Volume? wife and daughter said (laughingly) that they could hear my engine rpms from the second floor last night. I am in the basement so to me they are on the third floor. I thought I had the volume down. Its only an 8" woofer and a total system output of 1000watts for the sim rig sound. My home theater is over 7000 watts (6x15" sub-woofers, 6x12" woofers and 1x10" midbass will do that). I treat my ears like my eyes. Can't see it, get a bigger screen, I am at a 110" projector now. Can't hear it??? Get a bunch of amps that go to 11! Yes KZJ, I am competent at electrical work (sarcastic Canadians). I fixed all the shit I found in the basement and updated it to code as I went over the past 4 years. Electrical is a pet peeve of mine (Journeyman UA Local 230 Plumbers,Pipefitters,Steamfitters). I have rewired and re-trimmed every house I have ever owned. Some 4 years later I have replaced 95% of this houses electrical infrastructure and components. Glad I bought all the wire pre-Covid. Copper got STUPID expensive. It also helps to be the size of an emaciated umpaloompa. I get away with very little drywall work wedging myself between floors and in wall cavities while working.
  3. Right??? I am using a dedicated 20amp circuit (ran it myself) to power the rig) and a dedicated 15 amp circuit to power the PC (also ran it myself). There are two dedicated surge protectors for the rig and one for the PC (4000+ joules each). The PC is also on a UPS. I performed my due diligence in an attempt to decrease the chance of an overloaded circuit or car-b-que. But anything is possible. I do have a cup holder specifically for my beer. Admittedly with the triples, it gets a bit warm in the cockpit after a long session. Might add wind sim just for the cooling breeze. Then I can add fuel to the fire.
  4. Got my triples running right. Unfortunately, my Rally Sim does not have native support for triples or a true FOV adjustment. So, my screens are not perfect. AC, ACC and iRacing will be perfect though. Still making fine adjustments to the lighting. Its pretty cool having the street lights and sun glare mimicked "in car". Too bad I cant drive to the restaurant to meet Jenny. LOL.
  5. You have air in the power steering system. Normal for Subies to leak at the o-ring at the pump. Normally a new o-ring and an air bleed fixes it. With automatics. the abs is intertwined with the tcu. So, things like a bad abs wheel sensor will make the car stall. It becomes more "technical" in troubleshooting.
  6. I would check timing. A tooth off can run, though not well. Considering the new info I would make it a priority to verify timing and then perform a compression/leak down.
  7. 340 blows. But is should be better when they are done. At least safer from falling boulders. Rabbit hole is good too. I like to stop there after hiking. Beer selection. For dinner The Anvil used to be good. But it got so bad it closed. Not sure what happened. White Horse Tavern is in front of Clarion and should accommodate an indoor sit down dinner best. Might be able to get a reservation. Thinking Thursday but will make sure with the Boss this evening. Busy weeknights with Halloween. I am 5 minutes from the KOA (HFNP). How do you like the "locals village" in back? I am off Job Corp. I can always cook for you if you want "home cooking" too.
  8. Fuel pressure rises one psi with each psi of boost pressure. 1:1 ratio. Reference for this is supplied by the vacuum line to the FPR. Remove it and you are locked at a single pressure and destined to GRENADE your engine. Do not play with fire. You need a mechanical fuel pressure gauge (even temp) to verify pressure under idle, load and boost. If you have a bad coil or wiring to the pack you have a misfire all the time. If you get the wires to the coils backwards you get a misfire (and probably a no start) all the time.
  9. I have injured my hands plenty. I have a large "ball" of scar tissue that is now negatively impacting my ability to use the left hand. Had a Phillips head go into the palm via the webbing (thumb to index) probably 20 years ago. I named the scar ball "my little guy" and gross out kids by moving it around. Had a pumpkin carving accident in middle school. Sounds similar to your current situation. Is the car an automatic?
  10. Planning to meet @JJBerk for dinner in Harpers Ferry next week. "Locals" welcome. Should have the rental agreement in the next week or so. Fingers crossed nothing has changed and we can make a decision on ECM 24 locale. Subie Stickers is set for another round of slaps. I can have tees made again too.
  11. Welcome to the forum. I have not paid much attention to the Datsun scene since the late 90's, when I transitioned to Subies. I did get a bug up my arse and go look at a few 240z's recently with the intention to buy a 72. Regrettably, I am probably 30 years too late to the party. I cant get over paying $30-$40k for a car I could have purchased for under $4k when I originally wanted one. Found a REALLY nice R34 RHD in Carlisle, PA (ECM 23!) last week. But the owner was not shy about the $100k asking price. Sorry, for 6 figures it needs to have a bedroom and bath attached. So I built a sim rig and drive my 72Z like I stole it every night. Offroad even. LOL.
  12. Should not need to tune for a clutch/fw. There is a backing plate on a OEM 5MT SMFW. It is removable (always pulled the plate after marking orientation and bolt location when resurfacing). It is not the dual mass.
  13. Sorry to hear about the injury. It is running/driving, but you get all those codes?
  14. Survived my 29th anniversary. I am sooooooo tired. I feel like I built a car over the past 2 weeks. Might as well have. Still not done. But its running. Very close.
  15. I'm too tired to read. Is that a FAIRLADY???? I would give my left nut for a 2.0 roadster.
  16. I there are specific periods you wish lasted forever. Have not changed my phones home screen background in 8 years.
  17. Or, you could just use it as excuse to hang out, drink beer and stare at your baby planning the springs adventures. I get amped up working too much. Sometimes letting my mind drift and getting not much accomplished is what I really need to see the path forward more clearly.
  18. Everyday in life with kids. When your single and modding a 15 year old car the car becomes like a kid. Sassy and expensive and everything is drama.
  19. Thank you "Max". See how easy it is for misinformation to spread. Again.
  20. With the fresh install I would look at afr/ fuel trims and vacuum leaks. If the plug wires were mixed up it probably would not start. 1 step at a time.
  21. I chopped a coyote in half with my 91 ser. The front bumper sat about 1" off the ground. I caught air. So did wiley. Both of him. Sorry about the 86. It's modding. Case came with a bracket, I had never used one. After testing, zero change to temps or gpu benchmarking. Less stress on mb and pcb so.... vertical? Button box is done. Test was a success. New cable for perm mount arrives tomorrow. Going to test a streamdeck as well. But the tactile button box is all about immersion. Under $30 for a 7.1 usb external sound card. So.... wiring up my bass shakers as front/rear and left/right (1 for each corner) and having sim hub send the signals based on telemetry rather than just the audio bass. Immersion.
  22. Technically your 86 can generate approx 6nm of torque at the wheel. My sim can generate 25nm of torque. That's like your 86 at 1000mph. I just don't get the same adrenaline from g forces and fear. No its not real driving. But we live in the Matrix anyway.
  23. Single monitor is from console. I can now support triple screens (32's) with my gpu. But its MONEY. So that's on the future mod list. Motion is more than I can afford. Single 55" 120hz 4k oled it is for now. Like I said, it's as done as anything modded. I saw a few bits I liked more. So I bought all that new, returned old and put in a few more hours of labor. Hopefully the PC is done. Lol.
  24. $100??? For $100 I would have hung it on the wall. I sold mine for like $500 pre-2010. The material value alone.... Good on you Booze. You friggin scored. Me thinks you might owe John a beer.
  25. Took a break to do a thing. My sim rig is as complete as any modders project. I have some final soldering to do and then dump some code into the controller on my button box. I have some Hue lights coming for immersion (I work for Philips). But I am "driving" again for the first time in over 3 weeks. Little known fact, IPT was not my first small business. From early 2000 until 2008 I owned IcedPC. Built custom gaming computers, desktops, office machines, servers and set up small business networks. I held the 3dMarks world record for a short period and was sponsored by Asus, BFG, Danger Den and then EVGA. Water cooling, Peltiers and eventually liquid nitrogen cooling to reach the WR. I have not built a PC or spent much thought on the industry since. Like riding a bike. My new 13thgen i913900k, Z790 Plus WIFI, RTX4090, 2TB NVME, 1000w, liquid cooled silicon lottery winner. OC'd to 5.6ghz, ram at 7200mhz, running 0.05v under OEM intel spec. Prime95 stable for 24 hours. 4K at 140+FPS with all setting on ULTRA. If it can be made to go faster, I can do it. New rig hardware is all Fanatec. Podium DD2 wheel base. 20nm of linear torque and 25nm of peak torque. Dedicated emergency kill switch (leg activated like a real race car). Wrist breaking shit. 7 speed shifter, inverted pedals, a real hand brake. Plus 4 different wheels, one for rally, one for GT, one for modern sports cars and one for F1. Not leaving my basement until spring.
