puppers update? -
My history is short... 1994 Nissan Maxima (V6) which I drove from age 16 through the end of college. I got $500 for it on trade-in (for the LGT) and couldn't believe they gave me that much. Had a cracked header at the very least and was devouring oil 2005.5 Subaru LGT which I bought the summer I graduated college (2008) 2015 Audi allroad which I bought in 2017

A rush and a push and the wagon won't start

It's a JDM/EDM option that you can buy somewhere and install on your car. -

JDM/EDM I think. -
while usually thought to be a problem, this is actually completely normal as far as I was told. mine does it and burns less than half a quart over 3k miles. I remember being very concerned but I believe both Underdog and GTTuner (if you all remember Paul) told me it was normal. I think it has to do with the PCV system.

Interesting. I recently saw a picture newer SUV or wagon where the hatch spoiler looked like it wrapped down around the sides of the rear glass. The parts that wrapped down around the the sides of the glass weren't jutting too far out, probably 2inches or less, and tapered as they went down. It looked weird, but not terrible. I'll see if I can dig up which car it was. Aren't we in a situation dealing with one of the same principles that people believe to give an airplane wing lift? The air running over the top of the wing from the incident point at the front has to travel a longer distance than the air along the bottom of the wing, which causes the air to lift up into the pocket. Can you calculate total body length (including curves going up the bumper, up over the windshield, along the roof) and compare it to the essentially straight line length along the bottom of the car? If you reduce this top/bottom length difference (via a very long front splitter or even a long rear diffuser), do the numbers change? I know these are unrealistic, but I'm wondering if it'll provide any insight. Maybe some of your tested scenarios already have done this. The front splitter might not help since top and bottom "wing" length are both increased with that... Either way... data are cool.

Is Underdog working on cars again? Last we spoke (a few years ago) he had been taking a step back. He basically rebuilt / reconditioned my entire car in 2014. I'd work with him again in a heartbeat. My first post here in ages. Moved to way northern Norway for 4 months for work and stepped away from a lot of the internet. I literally have just read through this thread catching up on the months in my spare time since getting back. The LGT still lives though continues to be parked / occasionally driven at my parents' place. Been considering buying a house lately and getting out of apartment life, and all that's on my mind is a 2 car garage (nominally) to park my DD pig allroad and the other stall to bring the LGT back to life by doing the work myself. It's still running, but I think all of the sitting is getting to it. Revitalizing it will be a task. Still loving the allroad... couldn't pass up a steal of a deal and upgraded to a K04 turbo from the stock K03 turbo when my buddy decided he wanted to put an RS5 V8 in his allroad and sell me his leftovers. Upgraded turbo, bigger FMIC, and high flow cat was all that was necessary, plus a pretty much OTS tune from APR. It's probably up in the 340+whp range and pulls like a train above 4000 RPM. These 2.0 engines can put out some juice. Having driven the car completely stock power-wise for 3 years, wow it's a change. Makes me want to drive the LGT again. Also threw in an S4 interior and did not realize what I was missing out on with proper seat bolstering. Anyway, glad to see this place still running strong. Reading all the work many of you do yourselves is nothing short of impressive.
